sounds like this is just an article put together so that when Colt Cabana comes back they can go 'see? told ya'. Although saying that I do fully expect him on the main roster sometime in 2013.
Otherwise, as far as mid card talent go... Two of my absolute favourite guys of all time were Brian Kendrick and Carlito. I'd love to see both of them back. Carlito was fully on track for the main event at one point IMO. He at least deserves to be top level mid card talent as described by the article.
Problem is, the roster right now is FAR too big as it is. How many talent do they have who are just wasting away right now doing nothing? How much more talent feel like they're just being kept on for the sake of it? And how about the guys in NXT such as Bray Wyatt who are ready for stardom as soon as WWE are ready to pull the trigger? Gonna need a mighty big spring cleaning at some point if they plan on bringing in even more guys.
and slightly OT, but as for those of you saying Jeff Hardy won't be coming back. You have to wonder how much all that legal trouble actually set him back. I'm sure his potential WWE paycheck is far bigger than his current one. If only for that reason, I reckon he'll be back sooner rather than later.

Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas would be cool. I haven't watched ROH in a while so i don't know how they're being used right now

from what ive gathered from RVD interviews ive seen, he feels that the WWE offers the best money, but he feels like it is a prison sentence. he says that he really only pays attention to himself on the roster anyways, so i wont plan on seeing rvd back in wwe anytime soon.

Definitely Shelton Benjamin I would want back as well as Carlito too because of the fact that his brother Primo is in WWE and as well his cousin Epico is also there and as well Jeff Hardy I would want back but definitely Kurt Angle

If this is somewhat legit (and not just a Colt Cabana guessing game like Noir said, or even a guessing game over some midcarders in the rumble), then there are two names that I really hope are on that 'short list':
-Vance Archer- The guy has a lot to offer and never really got a chance to shine. I know that bringing Tensai back from Japan was a flop, but Vance is quite a bit slimmer, a bit younger, and a bit more INTENTS. I know he's not a big name, but he's a big dude who people like Kofi and such could get impressive wins over. -Brian Kendrick- I loved TBK, and I think I read that he stopped smoking weed and would love to go back to WWE. I hope the feeling is mutual. Put him out there against Kidd, Gabriel, or Bryan, and you'll have some good wrestling.

Shelton Benjamin, John Morrison, Chris Masters, & Carlito. Consistent midcard talent, that would be great to have back. They would be my top 5, including matt hardy, I'd bring back. Met masters yesterday, that guy is huge.

If The Brian Kendrick does come back to WWE, I would want him to have Big Zeke as his bodyguard once again and they can become like the HBK and Diesel of the WWE in terms of a superstar and his bodyguard

Kendrick is a great lightweight but he is nowhere near the level of someone like Shawn Michaels.

You really just compared HBK and Diesel to Brian Kendrick and Ezekial Jackson........ Also, are you unfamiliar with the modify post button? You don't need 43 replies in every thread for all of your separate crappy ideas. I say bring back RVD; he's got that ability to float in and out of the main event when needed; and can put on some good matches with a bunch of the younger guys on the roster right now.

I can't see MVP coming back without some type of motivation. That being something like a guaranteed World Title reign and then an agreement to help elevate talent after the run is over. So similar to Christian's role I guess. I'm a big MVP fan so I would love to see him back but I don't see it honestly. Him and Carlito both would be at the top of my "want to see return" list but I would be shocked at either coming back.
JoMo seems like a no brainer and then either member of WGTT. Chris Masters would undoubtedly make sense in that type or role as well. As much as I don't care about him, Matt Hardy seems like a guy that could be getting a phone call too, if true. It would be cool if this was a foreshadowing of Colt Cabana's return.

MVP seem's like a possibility. He was very happy in Japan but his replies on twitter have become somewhat different as of late. It's nothing to go on, but maybe he feels more confident because money is coming his way.

MVP said he will not come back to the WWE. Hardy and RVD are with TNA even if both contracts are ending early 2013. If I remember correctly Carlito talked with MVP about not returning back to WWE.. Im pretty sure MVP said he would come back under the right circumstances Yes, he did. He's never ruled out a return so I don't know where they got that from.

He said this on a video on his youtube channel. I just searched it but he deleted it. It was like a wrestling talk show where he talked for example with people like shelton benjamin and carlito about the WWE, TNA, and more. I'm not 100% sure but if I remember correctly Carlito said he will not return to WWE, aswell as MVP.
