I personally like the new packaging for two reasons. I keep all my figures in the packages so for storing purposes it is great. The new packages are also meant to save without having to take away from the figures, anything that saves Mattel money to make better figures is great for me.

I throw away the figures and just keep the packaging so it matters to me.
Wait, whoops!
They looked a little cheaper being in tinier packaging at first, but ultimately, it doesn't really make a difference to me. I guess MOC collectors could be bummed with the change, but if it saves Mattel a few cents they can put into the figures, it's fine by me.

I collect loose so it doesn't bother me.
I wouldn't mind seeing the package even smaller for both Elites and Basics.
I don't know why, but when I got my COO Triple H figures in the mail there was something I really liked about the packages they came in. I wouldn't mind seeing figures like that in stores, but to each his own and whatever melts your butter.

I'm a moc collector and I don't really like the new packaging. As someone else mentioned I peferred having the full image of the wrestler in quesion on the card. I guess if they are using slightly less card though it is better for the environment.
