As if it wasn't possible for TRU to gouge people even more, I went there today to find the new Best Of Pay Per View with Johnny build a figure pieces now for $21.99!! And the basics went up another dollar to $12.99. It is honestly getting out of hand.

TRU claims they price match everything, so you'll always be able to get Elites and Basics for whatever Target and Walmart are selling them for....you're out of luck for BOPPV stuff since it's a store exclusive, but some employees are dumb enough to price match that stuff too since they have no knowledge of the product.

TRU will only price match for any advertised price, and around here WWE figures are hardly ever in any ads on sale

Maybe it varies from store to store, but I got a Best of 2012 Daniel Bryan Basic at TRU the other day for $7.99 because I told the girl at the checkout that Target has them on sale.
I mean, granted they know me and I'm in there alllll the time, but I don't know if that had anything to do with it or not. I guess it's plausible that an employee wanting to be a dick or not knowing you could lead to them giving you a hassle over a price match.

You need to look at the ads that come in your newspaper and mail and stuff. They have coupons for 15 to 20 percent off a regular priced item sometimes. Theres one out right now thats good for yesterday and today for 15 percent off a item. Its not good on alot of stuff outside figures and other toys though so read the fine print.

Yup, stopped by a TRU by me and they had the Ricardo wave for $25.99 each. Ouch! Good thing I got them back in October but it looks like I'll have to deal with it for the Big Johnny wave (whenever I find them and by the looks of the pegs crammed with the first two waves, it may be a long time.)

Did you miss my thread a day or two ago in the Mattel section? BOPPV Elites at TRU in Holbrook, NY are $25.99. I'd LOVE to pay 21.99 when the Big Johnny set hits.

Toys R Us is getting away with robbery. There's got to be a way to stop this. I thought mine was bad at 21.99 but then I see these reports about 25.99?? Now that is insane and sickening. They want you to pay over a hundred bucks for four figures if you want a JOhnny/Ricardo. What a joke.

Why Mattel? Why must you do this to us and our wallets?

Why Mattel? Why must you do this to us and our wallets? This one thing that actually isn't Mattel's fault. The Best of PPV figures have a suggested retail price of 12.99 for Basics and 19.99 for Elites. Toys R Us decided to set the price for the Basics at 13.99 and the Elites at 21.99. Toys R Us is notorious for price gouging....especially with their own exclusives because they know they have us over a barrel and we can't get them anywhere else.
