Sorry if this has been reported but I have bad news for AJ and Drew fans out there. Opened a fresh case at my Target tonight and it was just Cena, Sheamus, Punk and Zacks. No AJ or Drew  The world needs more Cenas I suppose.... |

Why does Mattel do that? Is there a reason?
Is it just to keep it limited and, thus, collectable?

There has to be some of that going on. You gotta think they know AJ is not gonna warm at this point.
There are two distinct collectors Mattel is after, regular fans/kids and nut jobs like us. If things were easy to find most of us would be out of the game as that's the best part about collecting.

Wasn't AJ 2x on the revisions?
And it seems like the case that appeared at my Target was also a revision then. Everyone but Drew and AJ, multiple Cenas and Punks.

That sucks! I just bought AJ off of Ebay, since I have had 0 luck finding her. I figure if I do find her, I'll just sell it on Ebay and make my money back.
I imagine Eve and Miss Elizabeth will be just as difficult to find.

Yeah Liz is gonna be tough. That's why I ordered the set, the gas and time spent on Liz woulda been crazy.

Hey, kudos to Mattel. Their marketing team knows how to get us!
I work close to a Toys R us and Kmart and go everyday on my lunch break. I find I have better luck earlier in the day than after work. I found Beth Phoenix and Alicia Fox this way.
I found the AJ series, but because I went after work... she was sold out. Another poster on here reported finding her the same day I looked at the same store. I was so mad I didnt do a search earlier in the day, so now I do my walk at around 11am Mon-Fri. LOL
I wonder how others on here do it? The store employees must know us! lol

And AJ is a female in a boys toy line which = less popular. If they were packed as heavy as guys like Cena, Rey, Orton, Punk they would be pegwarmers that NEVER would move. think back to Mickie James her figure sat on the pegs for almost 2 years before they were removed. Retailers & the WWE want the faces of the company packed heavily because at the end of the day they will sell. It might take time but both know if a store had 50 AJ figures and 50 Cena figures sitting on the pegs the Cenas would sell out first. After the few collectors in an area get their AJ nobody would buy the rest...but with Cena there will always be a new child getting their first While I've only seen the remains of this wave once (2 Sheamus and 1 Drew) I have seen and passed on 4 series 23 Fox figures between 3 stores over the last 2 days. |

I think you might have have found a revision case that was made for Targets. Because both Drew & AJ are supposed to be in wave 2 of Basic 24. Drew still 1 per case but AJ is 2 per case. Didn't Target get 4 figure cases of Basic 20 with no Tatsu or Natalya also? So I'm guessing maybe Target asks Mattel if they can get cases with just certain characters. Not 100% certain but I'm guessing that's probably what happened.

If I see Drew today, I'll pick it up and give it away as a Christmas gift to someone on this post. IF I find him... who knows?
Today's my birthday and going out all over NYC to the different Targets, Toys R Us and Kmarts. (What other stores should I visit?) to see if I can find AJ!
I have 3 Alicia Foxs (by mistake). Selling two on ebay.
