I'm not doing anything different than what I've seen others do around here. You'd probably do the same. Actually there's a lot of people, including myself, that would have left the other three. If I did pick another one up it would have been for a straight swap, much like I did when E16 came out and Punk was a hot figure. I could have scalped him on Ebay but instead I traded him for an E15 Yokozuna....I even threw in a WWE title and a pair of Deans tattoos. Some people need to sleep at night. As for the -6, Id say it have something to do with you trying to sell the Christian on Ebay for $50. If you must know. I'm keeping one for myself, giving one to my cousin for Christmas, trading one with Juice and one goes on eBay. |

The title is all I want from it anyway. Its nothing personal but Im just saying dont say "Oh you'd do the same thing" when in fact not everyone else would. Its good you're giving one away and trading the other but you still put one up on Ebay for over double the price. You can be like "Oh hardy har har my karma went down" but you should have automatically known that by posted you bought 4 of them (even if only 1 went on ebay) you were going to get a negative reaction from people. |

Nice figure. Jealous you found it, and not just one, but a handful of them. Sucks that he's 1 per case because now everyone in your area can't complete big Johnny. But, it is what it is. I've done a similar thing but with a whole set. Going to keep trying my luck for it around here, can't chuck 40$ at an elite.

Just playing, that's how the scalpers look in my area.
Anyway, the only thing that annoys me is the losers that camp out in front of TRU every morning to clear the goodies for exaggerated profit.
There's nothing wrong with a little side hustle, I do it if I happen to walk in and there's an extra of a great figure but I won't clear the place of their inventory.
I always find decent figures that I can probably make a few dollars from, but its not worth my time. But I guess that's just me since i'm busy doing other things.

Yeah for me it's not worth my time to really ebay figs anymore...
You figure $18.50 after taxes for an Elite...
So even if its a fairly hot Elite like Lawler he goes for say $40.00 including shipping
Once eBay rakes their 10% or so it's $36 left.
Then $6-8 to ship MOC
You're left with $10-12 profit and that's IF he goes for $40. If he goes in the $30's it's break even.

I think the reason people are pissed is because after having every figure in the Ricardo set being 2 per case so they were very easy to find, Mattel is back to making HORRIBLE case breakdowns and they made John Boy (Cena) 3 per case in the Laurinities set and Christian is one 1 per case, so it's clearly going to be the hardest to find, and when somebody buys 4 of them, it just rubs people the wrong way. |
