In the theme of the BOPPV, Maybe Mattel Should bring back the Legends Line. Set of 4 Legends to Build Heenan, Mr. Fuji, Classy Freddy Blassy etc. Mattel?... Something to think about?

While I would love Mattel figures of Heenan, Capt Lou & Jimmy Hart I doubt it'll happen. At least in a Legends BAF line.

I'd be cool with a Joey Styles BAF. They have a habit of doing announcers as BAFs, this would be the only one I'd buy all the figures for. In fact, I wouldn't give a damn what the figures even WERE, I'd spend the 80 bucks on a great Joey Styles figure.
Sadly, I don't know if they'd do "legends" caliber announcers. Since Styles is old school, I would imagine that, even if they DID someone from that era, it'd be Jim Ross.

Think Mattel said it would add too much to the price of the Legends figures and they couldnt sell these Legends at 12.99 at most stores when they were out. Hence why Big Lots seems to be getting so many and selling them for 9 to 11 bucks a piece.

One more thing I would like to add. What if Mattel made a build a manager featuring Legnds from the featured manager's stable... Example; Bulid Jimmy Hart with The Hart Foundation/ Earthquake/ Dino Bravo.

Hence why Big Lots seems to be getting so many and selling them for 9 to 11 bucks a piece. Exactly. They couldn't sell British Bulldog -- the guy who main-evented the PPV with the biggest genuine attendance in WWE PPV history -- at standard legends prices. So they're definitely not going to try and sell Dino Bravo figures for $20+. This is a pipe dream, folks. The Classic Superstars bubble has burst. If the economy's good, you can put all the legends heads on the same three balloon bodies, paint the front of the trunks, add a cookie sheet accessory and sell them for about $10. But when the economy's bad, and you try making good figures of the Legends with proper detail and accessories and selling them for around $15, it's not gonna work. I could maybe see the occasional Flashback in a BOPPV line, but I don't think the Build-a-Figure will ever be anyone that nobody has heard of in years. JR and Heyman are probably the best bets for future ones.

I want Bobby the Brain, and he would have been perfect for a Legends BAF had they gone that route right out of the gate. At this point though, I'm not holding my breath. Paul Bearer is probably at the top of the managers list if I were to guess because of his relevance in 2012 and I expect JR, Heyman, and possibly even Stephanie before that happens.
I get that Johnny Ace and Teddy Long were both prominent characters on the show, but deep down I can't believe the demand for those two guys is higher than that of Bearer or Brain. Kind of sad in the war of quality characters vs relevant characters.

If regular Legends don't sell we'll at retail, why would retailers want BAFs of managers?
