Every store I've been to in the last week that had any toy section (Walmart, Target, Kmart, Sears, Toys R Us), it seems like there's been more toys ON THE GROUND than on the shelves. It seems like people just barrel down the isles with their carts and just throw things all over the ground. If you are going through toys it's really easy to NOT knock everything onto the floor if you have any class, or common sense.
It's just ridiculous....my friend works at Express and he says he's seen people going through clothes on racks or tables and literally throwing stuff on the floor looking for whatever it is they are looking for.
Bottom line, people are scum bags and throwing stuff on the floor and making a mess of a store is not cool.
None of the stores near me are like this at all any other time during the year, so I for one can not WAIT until Christmas is over and all of these ridiculous and rude holiday hermits go back into their caves until next year.

My Toys R Us had everything on the floor and nothing on the shelves.

Christmas- Time of the year where Wal-Mart shoppers have a higher i.q. then other retail store shoppers.

It's the most action some of the pegwarmers are going to get all year. Nice change of scenery for all those Ortons. Give them a chance to "tile-warm"?

Working at Wally World in the Toy Department this year...ugh...it's miserable.
This situation happened today:
Cleaned up the Action Figure aisle (I generally keep it clean, because I'm a collector of WWE) and I turned the corner to get to the second aisle...I come back to put a Wade Barrett figure in it's spot that I found on the ground, crap was destroyed again. Not even 45 seconds later.
We went from having about 50 WWE figures to having just 20 Cena's, about 15 Rey's, and a couple of Barretts. Oh and a lone Del Rio.

God willing, I hope I never have to work retail again. I hate to stereotype, but working in retail has shown me at this time of the year people don't show any respect for others.

Yes, I used to hate working retail (TRU for 2 years) during the holidays. It just gets crazy with parents scrambling for gifts and kids just having their way with the store. Haven't worked retail in the last 10 years and don't plan on going back anytime soon either.

Wow, that sounds horrible. In the holidays here the worst you can get is a bunch of traffic jams outside malls and such. the stores themselves are quite well kept and the shoppers are relatively well mannered. I really do feel bad for those working at retail during the holidays, doubly so now that I realise how horribly inconsiderate the costumers seem to be.

I couldn't imagine living in the NORTH during Christmas time. No offense to anyone, but people up there are much more aggressive and seem to lack common courtesy. and, children.......that is how the Civil War began.

That's horrible. Usually I'll tidy up the area even though I don't work there. I just hate messes..

Yup I went to about 4 different stores yesterday and all of the WwE sections were a complete $hitshow. Figures on the floor, thrown everywhere. I also noticed all my stores were pretty much sold out of wwe stuff. Not one of them had more than 7 figures on the shelves.

I even put them on the right shelf sometimes too i feel better about myself knowing others do this lol. i used to work at express and that was the worst experience of my life during christmas. i have seen people pick up stuff to look for a certain size just to throw it like it belonged to them. so stupid. i will never go back to retial. willingly at least.

At the store I work at it's only like that in the shoe department. I'm not a sales associate though so I don't have to take the time to clean it up but regardless I definitely feel sympathy for friends I have who end up having to deal with it.
I hate how people seem to feel more entitled to things lately. Yes, if there are no sales associates working the floor and only the register then you're going to have to wait in line to speak to one. You're no different than any other person in the store so grow up, stop throwing a hissy fit and have some patience.

Yeah, Christmas time is a sad time for retail. This is why i (1) get my shopping finished BEFORE Thanksgiving and (2) order a LOT of it online. I don't miss working retail and I tip my hat to those who do. God bless.
