Who was the greatest rapper/rap group of all time?

Eminem.

Huge fan of Pac but just feel Ems better. Pacs not far behind though.

The only white rapper I can ever take seriously is Snow. Eminem is terrible his new songs like Love The Way You Lie are god awful. They all sound the exact same and they are all is him just yelling at the mic all sad about his wife and people he dislikes. There's no flow at all and no good beats. Just yelling.

My vote went to Em and here's why.

If you would have been specific and asked who the greatest was up until right now? I'd have flipped a coin between Pac and Biggie.

But when it's all said and done, Eminem will sit on the throne above them all. He's become so iconic within the genre that even his less-than-ok albums are still commercial hits; He's going on 2 decades in the game and is STILL has the most consistent lethal verses of any mainstream rapper, even younger/newer ones.

Especially, for some reason, on other peoples' songs. I have issues with him as a man, because of his past mistakes, but I'll give him credit, he's also worked REAL hard to get past them and try to even make up for them.

But as an artist, he's not only consistent, but actually seems to be getting better.

If Pac or Big would have lived longer it would have been them. And I have to say I love that you included quite a few people as options most people wouldn't have given thought too. Bone Thugs, LL and Luda all deserve at least an 'honorable mention' for sure.

Ugh It makes me sad that people would even pick Eminem over legends like MC Hammer, Young MC, Run DMC. Well atleast NWA is winning.

Em could rap circles around Hammer and Young. Run DMC and NWA would be more of challenge.

I've already heard this song and I really like it. I'm not saying I don't like Eminem, I do like some of his stuff. It's just the fact someone would pick him as the greatest of all time baffles me.
