From the gaming articles I've been reading on the situation, it seems more like THQ will still be running, but the investors will be running the company. This could mean that WWE now partly owns THQ.

What sucks is WWE listed THQ as an unsecured creditor and the $45 million reflects the entire multi-year agreement they had with THQ. Its possible WWE might not get all the money.
If thats the case, i think WWE will be the one to dissolve the relationship with THQ.
Must really suck for Vince, first he loses $50 million on his wife's failed campaign and now with THQ.

I would LOVE if Rockstar Games took over WWE games. Hell, they even made table tennis entertaining, so I think WWE games would be no problem.

Imagine EA making a WWE game. Although it is extremely doubtful, a WWE game with even half the effort put in as FIFA has would be incredible.

Lmao a Mortal Kombat style game would be badass. As long as it was as violent as the MK games. A GTS that explodes the head.

EA can't make a game for anything. The only thing that keeps their motor running is the sports games And not even that anymore. EA started the year fearing bankruptcy and did little to improve their image. Madden was good this year but it was not anything better than the past few years. Are you insane? EA's the maker of FIFA '13 (and the ones before), the highest and fastest selling sports game of all time. They are nowhere near bankruptcy. I'm actually surprised the WWE didn't go with EA to make their game in the first place. The engine is way better, the graphics are way better, the feel is way better. THQ is a cheapo company to begin with.

THQ is a cheapo company to begin with. Pretty sure I remember someone from EA saying that there isn't much money in wrestling games anyway. They said that around the time the MMA game failed, which was around the time every financial information site and paper started to track the decline of EA. The decline in sports sales, the lack of continued interest in the Star Wars online game and the lack of interest in the Medal of Honor games has caused the company to lose half of its value. If it wasn't for a summer surge in the sports game market EA could have really been hurt. They went from being a 7 Billion dollar company in 2010 to being a 4 Billion dollar company in 2012. The issues with GAME did not help and who knows how much money that cost EA long term. EA is in decline and while it may not be in THQ's position EA does have issues finding capital to create new license and projects in comparison to Take Two and Activison. Hell there was a fake rumor started earlier this year Nexon was looking into buyig out EA and people believed it due to how much EA has shurnk and lost in the past year.

Imagine EA making a WWE game. It would be absolutely awful Everything EA has touched in the past few years has gone to crap. Disagree so strongly. The FIFA series is probably the strongest sports franchise of all time in terms of gameplay, and may also be in terms of $$$ made. I think they could do a great job, but the head of EA Sports recently said in an interview that they aren't looking to get into new sports (he was talking about rugby but the same may apply to WWE).

Good to see THQ might not be continuing with WWE games. They've been milking the series for far too long and releasing the same crap each year with a slightly altered title. They'll remove features that didn't need removing in the first place only so they can hype their return a couple of years later. I'd like to see Rockstar take the game over but because they spend a good few years on their games and actually put some effort into making them, we wouldn't see a WWE game for a while. I remember a couple of years ago, the THQ CEO blamed a Rockstar game for the poor sales of their UFC game EA does the exact same thing with all of their sports games. People in here who say EA should get the license are out of their minds.

Rockstar please. Imagine the story mode! and imagine how outdated it will be with the three to five years it takes for them to make a game. I for one am 100% happy with the games THQ puts out and hope they are able to keep doing so.
