I also remember the American Luger on Raw... It was with Bret Hart on a sign in the audience. I don't remember anything about the Bret though. I remember the Luger well though be cause after seeing it I made a bet regarding the figure...lol I won...No pics though but it looked to mainly just be a repaint.

I remember that.... it was the Bret & Luger from the red card series. I just remember seeing that sign and going crazy trying to find them around here. Then I found them at TRU a couple weeks later.

I was the one holding that sign up on Raw... it was the coin toss before Wrestlemania in 1994. The sign said "Lex or Hart" and had the two figures from the red card series. (I just transferred that Raw to DVD a few months ago!) I got them early from Hasbro because I wrote a wrestling newsletter focusing on figures. There were two Product Managers from Hasbro that I knew really well, and they always gave me the inside scoop. For the record, I never saw the Orange Card prototypes, and I doubt they exist. However, the series was going to be more limited then the Green Cards. The final Orange card line up was to be: Doink (repaint) Lex Luger (all american repaint) Bastion Booger Diesel Mo Mabel Jeff Jarrett I interviewed Bastion Booger for my newsletter during that time and I knew a guy who did an awesome job customizing Hasbros... he made one for Booger, so that's probably the figure he has. Sadly, the Orange Series probably never made it beyond the early sculpting stages.

The ex roommate of my uncle's half brother's step son used to work for Hasbro and I just asked him about the orange card series. But I'm sworn to secrecy. Sorry guys.

I believe the Mannix bootleg figures were rough molds of what Hasbro had made for their figure line (and leftovers of the green cards) of course, excluding the bodies. I remember being part of a forum back in the Prodigy internet days (1993?) and talking about the orange card series and remember Bastion Booger being talked about.
I actually have that episode of the figures being shown on Raw...perhaps I can upload a snapshot? (since I don't think video's are permitted)

I'm sure we'd all love to see what these look like. So this is an "All-American" Lex and a Bret without glasses?
