It's been quite some time since I posted on here about some new figures I got. Like most people, I got busy with the holiday season. With the holidays behind us though, I'm back with a huge post of pick-ups/receivings since then.
A lot of what I got was from Ringside. First up, I had full sets of Basic 24 and 25 on back order when they were up.
Zack & AJ (Wish I would have had her for RSF) are my favorites from Basic 24. Drew follows close behind. Personally, I like CM Punk's headscan introduced in B18 better. Cena & Sheamus are just another to add to the collection.
Brock, Eve, & Otunga are my favorites from Basic 25. I am happy to finally have Otunga in that attire. Again, Miz, Orton, & Show are just more numbered fodder for my collection of Basics.
Next from Ringside are my purchases from the first and second Cyber Monday sales (Both of which I thought were fantastic).
I couldn't pass up Bret & Macho for essentially the retail price of a normal Elite, considering they are exclusives. I thought the Signature Series Rey was a unique cool attire and a steal for $4.
My mystery Basic & Elite were Signature Series John Cena & E16 Rock, again I can't complain taking a chance with $7.
The second Cyber Monday sale caught me by surprise, but didn't stop me from loading up. I got most of B26 (except for Kane & Shawn), the Kofi/Truth Battle Pack (I am cutting back on Battle Packs going into 2013, opting only for ones with first timers in them, and/or tag teams), and half of E19 (Daniel, Dolph, & Shawn). I felt they were all great deals for just a couple of dollars more, I have them weeks or months before retail.
I got a few things off Amazon when they had them as well, those being half of E18 (Cara, Rey, & Wade) and the Epico/Primo Battle Pack (my last Mattel purchase of 2012).
Hitting up stores frequently before and after Christmas scored me the following:
A full TRU Big Johnny set
A full set of Rumblers Rampage for only $12 @ Wal-Mart
Perhaps the only Brawlin' Buddy I will ever buy: Zack Ryder
Finally, the WWE stuff I actually got for Christmas:
Not much compared to everything I picked up on my own, but I like it nonetheless. I had Kelly & Mankind already and knew I was getting the rest of E17 for Christmas. I also enjoyed the Rock/Cena Blu-Ray, especially considering it had pretty much every moment from that feud in it.
Overall, I am really pleased with what I got and thought 2012 was a great year for Mattel WWE stuff. I look forward to going for full sets once again this year (with the exception of Battle Packs), but don't look forward to the product drought I know is coming.
