According to The Wrestling Observer, WWE's Smackdown deal with Syfy is set to expire at the end of September this year. The show debuted on the channel back in October of 2010. No word as this point as to whether or not re-negotiations are taking place between Syfy and WWE.
I love Smackdown, but do we honestly need it nowadays? With RAW being three hours and all of SD's talent is on there weekly anyways. Plus we have Main Event.
Should WWE make it one roster again? A stronger roster? If not what network should take over? Live on Tuesdays perhaps?

Keep SD, get rid of Main Event.

Isn't it the highest rated show on SyFy, they'll keep it

I would prefer it to become a live show and wouldn't mind if there was a roster split again...

Good. Shouldn't be on that channel anyway.
I haven't watched Smackdown in years.

Smackdown is atrocious right now imo. I don't care if it's on SyFy, USA, or Ion, but I would love to see them make a conscious effort to make the programming good if they actually want me to watch it.

Isn't it the highest rated show on SyFy, they'll keep it Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's been the highest rated show every single week it's been on since October of 2010. I wouldn't mind if they switched networks, but I'd imagine Syfy would do whatever they need to to get them to stay on there. I would love to see SmackDown go live every week, though.

Does anyone remember when Smackdown was the better show by far?

Does anyone remember when Smackdown was the better show by far? yep, back when the "Brand Extension" was actually enforced and meant something!

Nothing exciting ever happens on Smackdown and hasn't for quite some time now. It would help if it was live every week, but that's not going to happen. Honestly, if you read the spoilers and see that all you're going to miss is Khali vs. David Otunga and Sheamus vs. Del Rio... would you really go out of your way to catch the show? They make no effort to make Smackdown a must see show and you can tell that for sure.

SD should go live on USA, ratings would be better.

I bet you they wanted to have the WWE Network up & running so they could move SD there.

They should restart brand separation and try to give us as many live Smackdowns as they can. I'd love to see that show take off again and be great like it was when it started.
Bring back the draft lottery, even out the main-eventers on both shows and make both equally important.
If they can't do that, then I truely don't care what channel it is on as I only look at the spoilers. Because it isn't live, SmackDown has basically just become one giant glorified house show where nothing ever happens.

There is NO way SD is going to get cancelled and idk why anyone would propose that plan.. SyFy will renew it; if not they are stupid since it is their top rated show.

Keep Raw & SD, get rid of the other stuff. I honestly love WWE, but I hate pre taped stuff. Even when Raw was taped for X Mas & NYE, I had to force myself to watch it. I live the unpredictability of live shows. I wish SD was live every week

I would prefer they get rid of it altogether. Even when Smackdown was good I thought it was unnecessary.
