was looking at the newer kids sized toy WWE Championship yesterday (in that new packaging) and noticed that they have the wrong side plate on it. The toy still shows the Mon Nite RAW side plate on the right (wearing the belt, on the left) but the actual belt has 2 of the same "WWE Champion" side plates on it. just an observation. do you own any of those belts? are they good? i was thinking of getting one for my display

If the plates could come off, it would be an easy fix if you bought two of the same belt, I guess.
Personally, I'd rather have a version with two different plates instead of two of the same.

further proof that they're straying away from the whole Raw vs Smackdown thing. hadn't noticed the change on the actual belt, but i do like it better.
semi-related note, as soon as i find the white IC belt in toy form, i'm totally buying it. it'll be my first and last belt i buy like that... unless they make the light heavyweight belt, preferably with red strap.

I have the white IC toy belt. Its pretty cool looking for display purposes with your figs. But one day I wanna get a replica or authentic title belt. I just think of all the figs I can buy with $150 or $200 instead, so I never pull the trigger.

I just think of all the figs I can buy with $150 or $200 instead, so I never pull the trigger. I feel the same exact way, so that is why I hooked up with a girl who can buy me replica belts. I got an Attitude Era WWE Championship belt for my birthday last year. This year I hope to get the current WWE Championship but with my name engraved on it. Once you own a replica belt the toys just don't cut the mustard. Same thing with the real FX Lightsabers. I have 2 of those and gave away my toy versions. It's just not the same. As far as this topic goes, I think Mattel knows of the change, but probably invested too much money on production on the "Mon Night" side plate. I am sure they'll correct it once they run out of those plates. Especially seeing as how they can now save money on using 1 mold for 2 plates.

I'm only buying the kids belts that Triple H held for my Triple H collection. But I have the Jakk's version of this belt. It looks great on display. Although I don't think Mattel will update it. I'm currently looking for the new white IC Championship.

Just buy a real belt from wwe shop. Those belts on places like wwe shop or Wrasslin Super Store are not even remotely "real"...Sure they're metal with cardboard and fake leather strap but if you want a true REAL belt, you're gonna have to drop a grand or more.
