Elite 15 R-Truth in my opinion is the most realistic and life-like looking scan Mattel has done so far.

I really like the Basic 24 CM Punk head scan, but the best head scan has to be CM Punk series 7 battle backs.

The newest Cena and Christian are very cool, E15 R-Truth is solid as well, but my two favorite, (and it's hard to narrow down) are SummerSlam Heritage Randy Orton (reminds me of that great Jakks scan from years ago) and E19 Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler has the most detail I think Mattel has ever done in this scale. But to be perfectly clear, 2012 was the year of the awesome scans. There was one terrible scan (B23 Rey) and a few so so ones (B23 Hunico, Trent Baretta, and Jinder Mahal), but all the other ones pretty much rocked.

Gonna go out on a limb here, but the one that REALLY got me rootin' for Mattel (and is still a favourite) was WWE 2-Packs Series 1 Santino Marella. Bang-on scan AND paint job! Pretty much flawless all around.

Ive got to throw the first basic brodus scan in. That was an excellent figure made even better by the very strong likeness. Also, highly underrated is the first 2pack santino, its one of their most lifelike scans (and paint apps) so far. Its still my favourite santino figure by a long mile.
Also, kanes first basic and elite scans were both spot on despite being used constantly.
