Just curious as to what markets have gotten this set (midwest and northeast seemed to represent the bulk of them)...I haven't heard much about it at all other than the rush on this board in early December. Is it just a matter of selling through the RR BAF first or is this a limited set as someone mentioned on another thread?
For those of you that did get the set are your TRUs still getting new shipments of this set? Is Christian still super tough to find? About to cave and pay out the wazoo for one if I can't locate Captain Charisma soon at retail.

I would love to know as well. I live in south Texas and haven't been able to get it at my local TRU.

Haven't seen it at all here in central Ohio.. I picked up the whole set at the TRU in Heath right before Christmas, have not seen them stock another case since..... |

My TRU got one case of the Best of PPV Set with Big Johnny about a week before Christmas, they sold out in 2 days and they haven't gotten any more in stock since.
I hope they get more soon. I want Christian and I need the Sheamus to finish Big Johnny.

there's no chance this is limited right??? We all know the cost of producing these and my thought is they released a bit early and will come out in full force in Feb/Mar...

Haven't showed up yet in Fargo, ND and I don't think they are comming anytime soon. Shelves still packed with Ricardo set and a few from the Cole set as well.

Found Cena and Sheamus about a week before Christmas. This was at the TRU in Douglaston, NY in Queens. But now the WWE sections at the TRUs by me have been bare since Christmas with the exception of the Announcer Table Wave. I'm sure these will start showing up in abundance, hopefully soon enough. The other two sets eventually flooded the pegs.

I think a case or 2 hit sporadically before Christmas. I found Cara on like a Wed night and it was literally the only elite fig in the aisle. Now we probably won't see them until the end of the month.

I'm hoping what we got last month was like an early release to kinda try and hit the Christmas rush....because Sheamus and Cena Elites are usually major shelf warmers, but at Christmas these parents will just blindly scoop up whatever they can get their hands on. The Michael Cole BAF set was hard to come by at first too, and then 4 months later TRU was still getting cases and they were clogging up shelves. The Ricardo BAF set had about a 4 month run too (September - December) where they were very easy to find at certain times also. So I'm hoping over the next few weeks/months TRU starts to get the Johnny BAF set in again at a more regular pace. I know some people are worried that it's limited and that what we saw in December might be it....but I don't think that's logical. It's a TRU exclusive, we all know TRU heavily stocks their own exclusives, I think it was just a limited EARLY release to move some easy new product during the Christmas craziness and now things will get back to a more normal pace. |

Considering how many Cole and Ricardo series were released I doubt that it is super limited. Its probably just a matter of a few cases going out before Christmas before concentrating on Elite 18, as most TRUs I have been to got literally 10-15 cases of Elite 18 right before Christmas, and nothing else. I seriously saw full Elite 18 sets so many times that I am sure that Elite 18 will be one of those horrendous hanger-on sets that we see forever (a la Elite 9 and 12). I doubt they would be so limited that 80% of TRU will never get a single case. I've only seen one Cena so far, no others.

I seriously doubt they are any more limited than the previous TRU Exclusives. I think they just came out at a time where they would sell very quickly. I bet we will see lots more.
I only saw them once in NC, for the record.

We've gotten them here. One case in Boca and one in Coconut Creek from what I gather. I've yet to see Christian though. Both TRU stores by me are absolutely flooded with the Ricardo BAF sets.
I'm guessing they will come flooding in within a few months though. The only thing I even care about from that set is the White IC Title.

In the Ricardo Set everyone was 2 per case. But for the Big Johnny set Mattel is back up to their old tricks of  ing around with the case breakdown. Cena - 3 per case Sheamus - 2 per case Sin Cara - 2 per case Christian - only 1 per case So in one FULL CASE of Best of PPV, you can only build ONE Big Johnny.....total idiotic move by Mattel. |

To date, I saw them once the week before Christmas, and that was when I got my full set. I haven't seen them since then, but I have also stopped frequenting TRU too since the holidays are done and things are back to normal.
My guess is they just hit the market a little too early during the holiday craziness and we will see them full force in a few months at the most.

My store had received a case. But seeing they are listed as a spring release we won't seem them in full force until Feb the earliest. Because as we know from years past TRU isn't really getting shipments to their stores now. Jan is when their distribution centers do their inventory. So shipments to their stores are very limited this month.

JUST WAIT!! they're not even on TRU.com yet. once they sell out there, AND another elite BOPPV set starts popping up, THEN you can cave and pay a "wazoo" for one. or whatever you call it.
in the fig game, you pay for impatience while patience (generally) saves you dough.

I would wait to buy Christian. I paid over $40 on the bay for a BOPPV Bret Hart out of fear of not finding him. Little did I know that just a few weeks later I couldn't throw a stick down the figure aisle without hitting a BOPPV Bret Hart.
My TRU in the Scranton area of PA stocked the Johnny Set a couple of weeks before Christmas and has been ever since. I bought Christian on Dec 20th then I bought the rest on Dec 30th. They have restocked this set a couple of times since and right before New Years they stocked a ton of the Ricardo sets and those are all gone sans a couple of Miz figures.
