As has been stated I don't think he has ever won the big one. The WHC is a joke and I don't consider it to be a real world title.
I love Christian but I don't see it happening

I agree. Honestly, my enthusiasm in the product has dwindled since he disappeared from TV, and I haven't been enjoying it as much since he left. The guy is crazy talented, I just don't understand why (most) people tend not to be able to see it. Maybe they're too worried about their Indie darlings? He's probably the best wrestler and worker that the company currently has. I'd so love to see him have a lengthy title reign with the Spinner. Oh shush about this "indy darlings" crap. WF loves Christian as much as anyone else on the roster. Maybe like myself, they just gave up on any hope of Christian having a proper main event run. Despite you guys fighting you both have good points. I think there's a 'put that guy out to the pasture' mentality that people seem to carry. That's the way of the world. It's not exactly easy to get behind someone when they're clearly not behind him on TV. WrestleMania 25 was still the biggest missed opportunity for him. |

I would love to see a 3-6 month face title reign for Christian before he has to retire. Sadly, I don't see it happening because he has been too injury prone the past two years and I think WWE would be overly cautious about any long-term booking for him. A Christian/Ziggler feud for the WHC could be really good.

I think he should not get a major World Title. The reason he is not because he doesn't deserve it or because I'm not a fan of his because I'm a big fan of his and I thought he could have been a major player when he returned. He had his chance in 2011 and I think the only reason he got the World Title in the first place was cause Edge retired. Christian is fine being an upper card wrestler to put over the young guys and help build them up in the cards. That's where I find Christian staying at, because also since September 2010, he's been injured three times. He's becoming injury prone and I think someone who's getting injured more often should not be in the main event spot. There's nothing wrong with Christian not being in the main event.

Should not and will not. Maybe if things had gone differently in 2005. But in 2011, he just didn't have what it took. He got a little run there for a while after Edge retired, but even that was more than his abilities warranted.

I never heard the interview where Edge said he would have won the title either way. Actually when Christian won the belt, I marked out huge, but in my mind I always thought he wouldn't have gotten the chance if Edge didn't retire. Then I convinced myself of that fact when Orton defeated Christian two days later at the Smackdown tapings. |
