| Impact Wrestling - January 17th 2013 |
Last time on Impact Wrestling, A partner was chosen and lines were drawn as Bobby Roode and Austin Aries couldn't get a one up on TNA Champ Jeff Hardy and James Storm. Did Genesis have different results? The final of the X-Division playoffs were set as Kenny King would face Christian York. But was Kenny Kings victory tainted! The Aces and 8s thought they had a plan but Bully Ray not only saved the day but made the day. How will tonight's wedding go? Sting finally got his hands on D.O.C. But was he able to get revenge? Impact Wrestling starts now!
After the pyrotechnics, the commentary of Todd Keneley, Taz, and Mike Tenay welcome us to a very special Impact as we join the marriage of Bully Ray and Brooke Hogan. Tonight we also have an amazing main event as Sting and Samoa Joe square off against D.O.C. and Mike Knox.
The theme of Sting blasts through the Impact Zone as he struts down to the ring with mic in hand. "Last Night D O C thought he would beat me but the fact is NO ONE CAN BEAT THE STINGER!! Tonight I team with my friend, killer Samoa Joe. Now is different. I want to call out Mr. Anderson." The theme of Anderson hits but he was no where in sight. "Sting, Sting oh hey up here." Mr. Anderson was on the titantron. "Sorry Sting but after the way 'Shooter' attacked me last week I'm not taking another chance. " " Well I don't see Angle out here because your buddies Aces and 8s attacked him with a baseball bat."" Just because I like hanging out with them and having a beer, I can't hang out with you and talk? I am being with my friend Devon since everyone else turned on him even his so called friend Garrett Bischoff and maybe I so Garrett what true friendship is."
{Commercial Break}
Bully Ray was shown in the back when his best men arrive. "Tommy, Spike, Justin how are you!"
Mr. Anderson def. Garrett Bischoff Anderson, the experienced veteran, had full control of the rookie. Garrett got a fury of offensive moves in after Anderson was gawking with the ref but Anderson checked the mic and won the match.
{Commercial Break}
Back from commercial, Velvet Sky is with Brooke Hogan as she prepares for her wedding. "You know that at Genesis I would have beat Gail Kim but she wanted to let the pigeons loose. I know that I can beat Tara and I'm damn sure I can beat Gail." "Can you believe this ring Mark got me? It's wonderful." "Yes it is nice but how about Gail puts her title shot on the line?" "I can't wait to see Mark!" "So are you gonna say Yes?" "YES"
Chris Daniels w/ Kazarian def. RVD Daniels, riding a hot streak after becoming #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight championship at Genesis faced off against a different champion. RVD almost beat Daniels with the Rolling Thunder. RVD was heading up for the 5 Star Frog Splash but Kaz hopped on the apron while the ref was distracted Kenny King ran in the ring and threw Rob off the top rope into an elbow from Daniels. The ref turned around unbeknownst of the interference counted the 3.
{Commercial Break}
Taz, Al Snow and Bruce Prichard were in the ring following the break as it is time for Gut Check. Last week's contestants Brian Cage and Jay Bradley were told to make their way to the ring as their fate depends on it. Bruce Prichard said both men put up one hell of a fight and thought that Brian had the match won but Jay surprised everyone with that huge lariat for the win and for that Brian Cage has been eliminated. Now to the judges for their decision. First up Taz. He said that the choice for Jay was not anonymous was no. Bruce Prichard said he saw a lot of good things from him in the ring and has been him in other matches and he said that his vote was Yes. Al Snow said that in his match against Brian Cage he primarily was on the mat taking a beating but came from behind and won and for that his voted was No.
{Commercial Break}
Aries was in the back and had a quick word for the camera. " Don't think that me and Bobby Roode are over. He cost me the title and I'll cost him more than just that."
Velvet Sky def. Gail Kim to become new #1 Contender Velvet gets her return match after Gail used her tights for leverage in the Gauntlet match at Genesis. Velvet never looked back as she dominated 3/4 of the match. Velvet won after she hit a sit-out face buster.
Dixie Carter was shown help Brooke get ready as the wedding approached.
{Commercial Break}
Jeff Hardy was shown in the locker room. Next week I face Daniels. I know he is all game and has Kaz with him. I need my A game.
D.O.C. and Mike Knox vs. Sting and Samoa Joe ruled No Contest The match started fairly going back and forth until multiple members of Aces and 8s ran to ringside but the TNA locker cleared including a tuxedoed Bully Ray as the fight continued a masked member of Aces and 8s pulled out a wrench and clocked Bully before Hulk Hogan hurried down the ramp with Baseball bat in hand as the Aces scattered. The group of TNA superstars and Bully's best men checked on him before Sting threw up the X. Immediately Brooke scurried down to check on him. Hulk hugged Brooke saying "Sorry honey the wedding will have to wait.

Last week on iMPACT WRESTLING the date was set but Aces and 8s took out the groom to be. Are the Aces and 8s unstoppable? Chis Daniels, set to face Jeff Hardy, defeated X-Division champion Rob Van Dam with help from Kenny King. Will we crown a new TNA World champion? iMPACT WRESTLING starts now.
After the pyrotechnics Taz, Todd Keneley, and Mike Tenay welcome everyone to a huge night on iMPACT WRESTLING as the TNA World Heavyweight championship is on the line as Jeff Hardy defends against Chris Daniels. Also Tara faces Velvet Sky for the Knouckouts Championship.
Dixie Carter comes down to the ring with microphone in hand as she was set to make a huge announcement. She said that she spoke earlier today with Bully Ray. He is fine but was not cleared to compete and his wife Brooke was with him. After the events of last week I'm forced to take actions. At Lockdown, Bully Ray and five other men will face of with Aces and 8s in a Lethal Lockdown match. Next week when Bully is back he can choose his five partners to go to war.
{Commercial Break}
A recap of the attack from Aces and 8s including the mask men and his attack with the wrench.
Christian York def. Kazarian via DQ A quick paced opening contest that got the fans on their feet early on. Kaz looking gain momentum for later on when his buddy Daniels faces Jeff Hardy. Kaz hit York with a huge shining wizard on York but knocked him out of the ring. Back in the ring, York reversed Kaz into the mood swing but Daniels ran down and pulled the ref out of the ring causing a DQ.
{Commercial Break}
Kurt Angle was in the back saying next week is Open Fight Night and he know who he is calling out and that he may not be 100% but can still kick ass.
Rob Van Dam def. Zema Ion w/ Kenny King Kenny King was with Zema Ion watching showing that he still had his eyes on the X-Division champion. Ion hit a 450 splash for a 2 count. Finally when RVD went for a Rolling Thunder but King grabbed RVD's arm and went to spray him with Ion's hair spray but Rob ducked spraying right into Ion's face as RVD rolling him but for the 3.
{Commercial Break}
Joseph Park was jogged down to the ring as he said he had talk to Hulk about this before the awful events that happened and I have been allowed to be a part of next weeks Open Fight Night and i plan on calling out someone on from Aces and 8s. I had the thrill of my life at Genesis even though I took a beating. I'm ready for next week.
Austin Aries, in the back, said that he will show why he is better than and always will be Bobby Roode. Just keep watching
{Commercial Break}
Austin Aries def. Samoa Joe Aries and Joe put in an amazing bout like they had over the summer. Aries was finding unique ways of offensive no able to lift the massive build of Joe. Joe counter a attempted Suicide Dive into a huge body slam on the concrete floor on the outside. Joe locked Aries into an STF but Anderson ran from the crowd and Joe broke the hold going after Anderson but he quickly retreated. As Joe turned around Aries rolled him up and locked him in the Last Chancery for the victory.
{Commercial Break}
The commentary unit are closed in on in the camera as the remind everyone that next week will be Open Fight Night and we will be hailing from England.
Knouckouts Championship Tara w/ Jesse def. Velvet Sky to retain The Hollywood couple used many successful antics throughout the match like Jesse grabbing Velvet's foot. Velvet kept coming back in the match before hitting her sit-out face buster but Jesse pulled Tara to the outside before Velvet could go for the pin. Tara rolled back in as Velvet rolled out. Before she rolled back in she planted Jesse with a slap tight across the kisser. Tara jumped all over Velvet when she got in and used the Widows Peak for the win.
{Commercial Break}
TNA World Heavyweight Championship Chris Daniels w/ Kazarian def. Jeff Hardy to become NEW TNA World Champion Finally the huge championship match. Daniels early on was quicker than the rather fast Hardy. Daniels hit a couple of quick suplex earlier on as Hardy rolled out shaking his head. Kazarian rushed Hardy back in but he ducked the Daniels clothesline and hit a twist of fate when Daniels turned around. Daniels kicked out at what most fans say 2 3/4. Hardy went to the top rope for a swanton but Daniels pele'd him off to the outside. Daniels distracted the ref just to open the opportunity for Kaz on the outside to do a little damage. Daniels later on hit the Angel's Wing for a 2 has he was shocked but he climbed to the top as the commentary thought he could be going for a Greatest Moonsault Ever but instead hit a swanton as the ref counted to 3.
Daniels celebrated as he won his first ever World title in TNA. Finally the man had done what he said he was going to do.

Last time on iMPACT WRESTLING. Wings spread and took off as Chris Daniels win the World Heavyweight Championship. What does he and Kaz have planned next? Dixie Carter made a huge announcement. Will Aces and 8s response? iMPACT WRESTLING starts now.
The commentary unit with Taz, Todd Kenelay and Mike Tenay welcome us to Open Fight Night! They talk included tonight's Main Eventbas Kurt Angle plans on calling out someone. The commentary was interrupted by the theme of Aces and 8s as Devon, Mike Knox, 3 masked men and a Mr. Anderson decked out in Aces gear. Devon had the mic and spoke. Last Week, Dixie Carter said that we are in a lethal lockdown match but what for? We already beat you guys at Bound for Glory and I'm damn sure we'll beat ya again. But why do we need to? My TV title? Have it. We still can run this place to the ground. Dixie Carter suddenly appeared on the screen over the ramp. She said that she has exactly the proposal. If Bully's team wins then Aces and 8s are gone but if you guys win.... Your President is the new President of TNA. Immediately Devon's eyes lit up. De.. But members of Aces and 8s cover his mouth. As they want to talk this through. Finally the decision was made. Knox replied We'll see.
{Commercial Break}
A surprising theme hit as Magnus who was gone from TNA for a couple of months after an attack from the Aces and 8s. He said he is back in his home country and one thing is for sure. I am ready to fight again. I think that after thought that the perfect person to call out is Robbie E!!
Magnus def. Robbie E w/ Robbie T via DQ Magnus has a bit of ring rust but still was able to pound Robbie E. Bigger Rob who was out by the side of the ring. Robbie E caught Magnus when he was going for his signature diving elbow with the knees.Robbie E then went to talk with Robbie at and told him to attack Magnus while he distracts the ref but Robbie T came in and clean clocked Robbie E.
After the match, Robbie E got up and shoved Robbie T but he didn't budge. T rolled out of the ring for a mic and said From now on its Rob Terry.
{Commercial Break}
Back from Commercial Break a recap of last weeks main event is shown and they wonder what Daniels has in store tonight
Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez came out to a surprising loud pop. Chavo had the mic and said that they haven't been heard of for a couple of weeks. They know its Open Fight Night and they want two superstars with that have had big success and bigger egos Bobby Roode and Austin Aries.
Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez def. Austin Aries and Bobby Roode The tag champs started out with Hernandez as Aries started on the other side. Hernandez easily had the power as he dominated early on but Roode and Aries did work together to weaken down Hernandez. Finally Chavo got the tag a d hit a series of suplexs on Roode and Roode crawled for a tag Aries hope off the Apron and slapped him across the face as he walked away. As Roode looked in shock he quickly turned around he meet a final suplex and then a frog splash for a victory for the tag champs
{Commercial Break}
The World Heavyweight champion of the World Chris Daniels and "The Bad Icon" Kazarian strut to the ring as its time for a celebration. Kaz, with the mic, says that everyone may no worship usssssssSsSsS!! Last week that little kid Jerrerson lost to greatest superstar evvaaa. Daniels, now with a mic, shouts this calls for a celebration! How about it! The fans scream as they want a party. Kaz replied Sorry this is private. The team known as Bad Influence walk off to the back laughing the entire time.
Kurt Angle is in the back. Tonight he plans on calling out Mr. Anderson in a No Disqualification match
{Commercial Break}
Joseph Park walks down from the ramp awkwardly but effectively as he said last week he will call someone out. With mic in hand he said The lovely folks at Park Park and Park said that they are backing me in my career into wrestling so tonight I'm calling out the big blonde haired dude from Aces and 8s. This masked man accompanied by Devon came through the crowd. It's fighting time but Samoa Joe ran down to even the numbers.
Joseph Park w/ Samoa Joe def. A member of Aces and 8s w/ Devon Parks was changing up a bit wearing MMA gloves with his sweatsuit. Parks and ordinary large man paled in the size of this man. Parks tried a coupe of punches but there is no effect on the big guy. Parks tried running of the ropes but still couldn't knock the big guy down. The masked guy just shoved Parks down. Almost all match Parks was on his rear but after a big boot Parks was bloodied and when he realizes this he went into a trance hitting a Black Hole Slam and then hit a choke slam for the win.
{Commercial Break}
Bully Ray walks down after the Commercial Break in regular clothes as he isn't calling anyone out but set to make his announcement about Team Bully. Tonight I'm revealing my first member of my war team. I respect him and I know he has my back. My first member is none other than "The Icon" The Stinger. The theme of Sting blasted through the speakers as he makes his way to the ring. As soon as he gets in the ring he shakes Bully's hand and says Let's do this!
The camera goes to the commentary unit as they hype next week with Hulk Hogan naming the #1 contender for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.
{Commercial Break}
Mr. Anderson def. Kurt Angle in a No DQ match Although this was a No DQ matches and the Aces and 8s could interfere this match was left for just these two. Weapons such as hammers, chairs, tables and even a beer bottle were used as this looked like extreme battle instead of a wrestling. In the end Angle was going through an Angle Slam on thumbtacks but Anderson wiggled off an Angle fell right into the thumbtacks for was pinned by Anderson
Anderson after the match Anderson grabbed a mic and said Aces and 8s are in.

Last time on iMPACT WRESTLING. The Aces and 8s will go to war. Who else will Bully take with him to destroy this group? A champion came to party but left without it. Hogan names the new challenger but whom? iMPACT WRESTLING starts now.
The Pyrotechnics explode as Todd Kenelay and Mike Tenay welcome everyone to iMPACT WRESTLING. Taz is backstage finishing up with other Gut Check officials for next week. But first, General Manager Hulk Hogan is here to make an announcement.
Hulk Hogan’s theme blasts through the speakers as the man in charge is set to announce Christopher Daniel’s opponent at Lockdown. Now Brother, I may not like Daniels but he certainly has been good beating Storm at Genesis and Hardy on here a couple of weeks ago. I know that they both feel and think they deserve a rematch and brother they are right. But Aries and Roode come up to me and say that they haven’t had a rightful 1 on 1 opportunity. There right too. So tonight we have a series of 3 matches featuring those four and two others. I also have to announce that Bully Ray has informed me that Kurt Angle will be on his team heading to Lockdown. So first Bobby Roode will face Magnus and Jeff Hardy will face Austin Aries. Finally, James Storm will face will face a man that approached me last week, Matt Morgan.
{Commercial Break}
A recap of last week’s main event was shown including Angle falling into the thumbtacks.
Knockouts Champion Tara w/ Jesse and Gail Kim def. Mickie James and Velvet Sky A few weeks ago Velvet Sky was unsuccessful in her attempt to regain the Knockouts championship and she was looking to earn another shot here tonight teaming with Mickie James.Taz checked back in at commentary. Gail and Tara worked over Velvet for the majority of the match until Gail was going for a kick to the gut but missed and hit Tara allowing Velvet to tag in Mickie who hit a hurricanrana on Gail and then hit a MickieDT for the 3 count
Velvet and Mickie celebrate afterwards as Tara screams at Gail why she kicked him and both had to be separated by Jesse
James Storm and Matt Morgan is next
{Commercial Break}
We are shown the commentary team as Taz discusses next week’s Gut Check as he announces next week Cliff Compton will face Stan Rutherfield for a chance at a TNA contract.
Matt Morgan def. James Stom The Cowboy still stinging from his loss at Genesis faced off against the giant Morgan. Morgan used his strength to overpower Storm for the early part of the match. Storm got back in it when he hit an enzurguri and dropped Morgan to one knee. Storm was looking to set up the Last Call when the music of Mr. Anderson hit distracting Storm allowing Morgan to drop him with a Carbon Footprint
{Commercial Break}
Bobby Roode def. Magnus The self proclaimed It Factor and the newly returned Magnus put up a beauty to end the first hour of the show. Magnus went for an Elbow drop but Roode was able to roll out of the way. Roode went for a roll up but Magnus kicked out at two finally Roode was able to hit a Fisherman’ Suplex into a pin after an eye rake.
After the match Bobby Roode grabbed a mic and announced that at Lockdown he will beat Chris Daniels and beat his own record and become the longest reigning champion again.
{Commercial Break}
A video from earlier today was shown as Kenny King was able to get Hogan to grant this next match.
Kenny King, Zema Ion and Kid Kash def. X-Division champion RVD and Christian York[King lone survivor] An Elimination handicap match featuring the stars of X-Division started with Kid Kash and Christian York. Quick tags by the team of three happened early and often to work over the good guys. The first elimination was Kid Kash after a vicious Mood Swing out of nowhere but Ion quickly rolled up York leaving it 2 on 1. RVD was able to fight back and eliminate Ion with a spinning heel kick but Kenny pounced going for a huge clothesline but RVD ducked it. Finally King hit the Royal Flush for the win.
{Commercial Break}
Jeff Hardy def. Austin Aries What could have been a great PPV match on free TV wowed the fans with constant back and forth action with near falls every second. Aries hit a great Suicide dive on Hardy but he got back in at 9. The match saw its end when Hardy hit on Twist of Fate but Aries countered the second with a German Suplex but Hardy rolled off the canvas back on his feet for the second Twist of Fate and a Swanton.
Hogan came down after the match and said that the challenger will be Jeff Hardy and… suddenly Aces and Eights hit the ring in the twenties and circled Hogan and Hardy but Bully and Sting with the bats ran out signaling for the rest of the back. Magnus, Storm, Angle, Samoa Joe, Park and even Al Snow rang down as the brawl began. Hogan with a bat almost took off the head of a member but when he went to run Hogan grabbed his mask and saw it was Garrett Bishoff.

TNA IMPACT Wrestling: Thursday 7th February 2013...That graphic is a bit bad, if I'm honest. There's a little too much going on in it, doesn't look overly professional with the layout. This'll be interesting because I despise TNA and I despise the product. Let's see what you've got. Hulk Hogan in the ring announcing Daniels' opponent for Lockdown is cool, I think your writing style could use a bit of fixing up though. Some sentences don't really make sense. Maybe some work on the grammar and spelling as well. So basically, Daniels will be facing Austin Aries and Robert Roode at Lockdown? This promo didn't really make much sense at all. Just a generic set up for the show, which could have been cut for the announcers to reveal themselves. A slight waste of time here. Tara and Gail Kim defeating Mickie James and Velvet Sky was fine. Tara and Gail having a slight miscommunication lead to them brawling? Strange. Matt Morgan then defeating James Storm was fine, very straight forward. Got Morgan over, I guess. Robert Roode defeating Magnus was a fine first-hour main event, is Roode a face now? Roode facing Daniels at Lockdown eh? And where is Daniels tonight? Kenny King getting a push makes me glad, a decent win for Zema Ion, King and Kid Kash (glad that you've kept him around, as well) against Rob Van Dam and Christian York. An elimination handicap match? I think that should've been made more clear. Is there any reason for this match? A little illogical, unless you had some backstory for this involved that I didn't see. Hmm, if Roode facing Magnus was only the first hour main event, this second hour has been relly short. Jeff Hardy with a win against Austin Aries is fine, a decent closing to the show with the lacklustre Aces and Eights segment. Garrett Bischoff being revealed is a nice cliffhanger. Overall, spelling and grammar may need to be improved, a lot of questionable booking (unless there was some backstory to everything that's been neglected to be touched on), and also, the show seemed a bit short. But a nice effort.

First off, the structure of the opening promo is definitely off. Quotations marks where needed would really help for the dialogue. I hate how you derailed the promo briefly to address Bull Ray and Kurt Angle going into Lockdown. Doesn't flow at all when discussing the World Heavyweight Championship. All three matches set up sounds rather solid. Interested in finding out just who is Daniels' opponent for Lockdown. It would also help to the readers to acknowledge that Daniels the TNA Heavyweight Champion. Otherwise, they may be confused. Your header for the opening contest as Tara and Gail Kim as the victors, when Mickie and Velvet actually went over. A solid victory for the two face Knockouts. You also didn't bold the {Commercial Break} text following that match. Bleh, disappointed to see Matt Morgan go over James Storm. I'm not fond of Morgan at all and would hate to see him come close to the TNA world Heavyweight Championship, especially over someone with the talent of Storm. Bobby Roode defeating Magnus is fine. Would love to see Magnus have a breakout year, though. He definitely has the potential to be a future top star for TNA. An Elimination Handicap match is rather odd. You definitely could have had Rockstar Spud as the third member of the face team, especially with this edition emitting from the UK. Kenny King as the lone survivor is fine. I'm not as high on him as others seem to be. Just doesn't impress me all that much. Lastly, great main event with Jeff Hardy getting the win over Austin Aries. So Jeff Hardy is one challenger, and there's supposed to be another? You didn't state that very clearly. The brawl with the TNA locker room and Aces and Eights was fine. Feels like we've seen that a few times too many. Garett Bischoff being revealed as a member is a moment that should have been a big deal, but came across as very anticlimactic with your writing style. Overall, a solid edition of Impact Wrestling. Seemed a bit too short for a two hour broadcast though. And your writing style needs some work. It hasn't improved very much. Grammar, structure, and emotion when it comes to moments like the ending should be your focus when it comes to improving.
