And now ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls and children of all ages for the thousands in attendance and the millions watching from home it is a HOCKEY NIGHT IN PITTSBURGH. I have waited far too long to say that and such. Haha.

It should be interesting. As a Pens fan I am obviously holding put hope for them but I have a buddy who is a diehard Flames fan so I cannot help but hope for the best for them too and all of that and such. Haha.

I love watching the Blackhawks in the post-season, but I've never gotten into regular season hockey... Gonna try and change that this year with the abbreviated season

I ing love the Kings. My Chemical Romance playing in the video? It is like a dream come true hearing an MCR song on national television. Congrats to the Kings and all of that and such. Haha.

Not sure if it's the same one, but they played the Black Parade as the intro video during the Stanley Cup home games & inserted childhood photos of majority of the players playing hockey. I would put that hype music video up against anything I have ever seen. It was amazing. The Blackhawks are bringing it today, glad to see it.

That was it. My Chemical Romance has been my favorite band since 2004 and seeing them anywhere is awesome I would say. As for the Pens game, the Pens came to play in the first but then cooled their jets something fierce. When Claude scored I was just thinking "ugh...here we go again Pens" but luckily they held out. The Pens need to get their sh*t together on D. Flower had a fabulous game but to expect him of Voukun to make those kinds of stops every single game is ridiculous and they should know that. The defense was atrocious this game. Flower and Voukun need help. Badly. And guys like Martin and Nisks need to step it up. I mean...Letang looked good and Engelland looked decent from the little he was on the ice. But where the was Orpik? I did not see him after the first period at all and I do not think he got hurt so it is like...ugh. I hope that they can get that D fixed and not die off offensively after the first and if they can do that this season could be ok for them and all of that and such. Haha.

Well, plain and simple to sum that one up. Flyers came out sluggish in the first, while the Penguins came out with some jump and got all over them. They played the last forty, and looked a hell of a lot better. Just have to play a full sixty, I've seen this too many times with sluggish starts or auto pilot when they have a lead etc.
Second goal sucked. First one wasn't on Bryz, Schenn screened him and it deflected off of his stick. But right off the draw? Come on. Power Play was what it was, seen it before. Ah well, moving on.

Blackhawks played at a consistent level today. Good to know that the offense is at a good level.

As far as I'm concerned. all I want from Detroit is for them to keep the Playoff streak alive. Anything more is a plus. Should be interesting to see how we play without Mr. Perfect.

Great game 2day from the Hawks... Looking forward to cheering for them all season long (instead of just in the playoffs)

Kinda hoping that was the "shake the rust off" game. Downright embarassing, couldn't hit, couldn't shoot, couldn't play defense. St. Louis made his look horrible. Hopefully we rebound against Columbus monday

Just have to play a full sixty, I've seen this too many times with sluggish starts or auto pilot when they have a lead etc. This is the story of this team. Despite the loss, Bryz played a hell of a lot better than I was expecting. Of course Fleury was a whole lot sharper (for good reason). That was an incredibly sloppy first period for them, but at least they got some skating legs later on. Good physical play, which is what one would expect when the two PA teams play.

Got a bunch of friends together tonight, made food and enjoyed the game. Bruins looked solid for the most part, it seems to surreal to actually have the season started.

Tonight was as weird as the Playoffs were, more noticeable what teams were ready and what teams needed to wake up. Hopefully the rest of the week features closer games lol
