As we've been reporting here on the website, WWE is planning to bring back several former talents. According to numerous sources, several of those names are expected to return at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view this Sunday night.
Two names now confirmed for the 30-man Royal Rumble match are Carlito and Shelton Benjamin.
Benjamin has been working in Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling since leaving WWE back in April 2010, winning the tag team titles in ROH and teaming with MVP in New Japan. He recently asked for and was granted his release from the company.
Carlito left WWE in 2010 and has been working the indy scene as well as overseas with WWC.
There is no word on MVP's status for the Royal Rumble as of this writing.

Carlito and Benjamin would be awesome surprises, both great talents that I miss. But that list doesn't look accurate... Michael McGillicutty is in??

Good God, I hope this is true!! I love Shelton! And when Carlito is devoted he can be a great talent. I'd like to see Carlito with Epico & Primo at some point.

No Tensai severely leaves me not giving a crap about the rumble. No Outlaws, Undertaker, Lesnar or Triple H either.
Both USOs, PTP and Jinder Mahal in the rumble? pfft.
One of the, if not the worst rumble line up EVER.

I think the OP is just going based off of who ran down at the end of RAW. That's in no way an actual confirmation of who's actually going to be in the rumble match, just an example of the chaos that can ensue in such a huge match on the part of WWE.
I forget, is this year going to have 30 or 40 entrants? I have a feeling they'll have Ziggler pull an HBK and last until the very end...while I have high hopes for Carlito and Benjamin being in, I honestly won't believe the rumors until I see it. Wishful thinking to also see Morrison and Hurricane make returns as well.

All the other guys listed ran down at the end of RAW, but they missed some out like Riley, JTG, Yoshi, Hawkins, Epico and Primo. I think some of these guys were just placeholders for surprises. I can see New Age Outlaws being in it. I think Tensai and Ryder should also make it. Shelton and Carlito are good surprises.
