I've been a member of this forum for over 10 years and only have 1,100 some posts
Despite that fact I'm on this site every day
I'm addicted to facebook and twitter
Anyone who says that aren't addicted to the sites mentioned above is a liar
I developed an obsession with Jersey Shore despite hating reality television before that
I think zombie movies are all the same and boring, but I enjoy the TV show The Walking Dead
I have seen the Gameplan and The Tooth Fairy and enjoy both movies
I still use my VCR and buy and use recording VHS tapes
I'm straightedge and enjoy hanging out in bars on almost a daily basis
I'm a lifelong wrestling fan yet I've never met a wrestler
I prefer Pepsi over Coke, yet I'm drinking a can of Coke right now
I just laughed at the irony in some of the things I wrote in this post

After months of lurking here I joined back in September.
I am on my 3rd marriage and I am only 27.
I actually enjoy it when people say wrestling is 'fake'. My response is usually this...Me: Whats your favorite movie? Them: Transformers 2. Me: You know its fake right?
I have been to 5 WWE events in the last year.

-I am a vegetarian primarily for a healthier life, but also because eating or wearing dead animal matter creeps me out.
-I believe in our modern society, where food is readily available 10 feet away from us no matter what, where we don't need to hunt for food, there is no reason to kill and eat animals other than for pleasure. And to do so, in my opinion, is immoral.
-Given the above statement, I will never knock anyone's diet unless they knock mine.
-I am at war with most of society, almost constantly.
-I have lost count of how many partners I have had.
-I have lost count of how many shows I've been to.
-I have been arrested unjustly.
-I shouldn't watch the channel 'Logo' because of how it depicts the LGBT community, but I do.
-It took me 22 years to come out and be who I am today, and I am still figuring things out.
-My parents don't know, and I am afraid.
-People think I want a pat on the back for being different, when, in truth, I am trying my hardest to blend in with 'normal' society, and would not wish this on my worst enemy.
-I love Nintendo more than any company in the world.
-I have been told I can act very well, and have a wide range.
-I have a good tolerance for pain.
-I created a backyard wrestling fed that became huge in our area.
-I still want to bring that fed back.
-I have been jumped by gang members. Twice.
-I have been violently beaten down and choked by my former best friend for no reason other than the fact that he was a complete sociopath.
-I have been in three long-term relationships.
-I have bought someone a diamond promise ring.
-I love to sing.
-I am rarely comfortable in my own skin.
-I have eaten raw pasta as a snack, and enjoyed it.
-I love to create and design things.
-I've made custom punk vests and pants, most of which have taken countless hours.
-I am often asked if my hair is real.
-I have made over 100 custom figures, all of which were thrown out years ago.
-I once owned over 500 video games (NES, SNES, N64, GBA, GameCube, DreamCast)
-I once owned a couple hundred wrestling figures.
-I sold or threw out or donated everything to live a very minimalist lifestyle.
-I feel better when I don't have a lot of things.
-I feel more at ease when any area around me is neat and organized.
-I have never touched any drug outside of alcohol.
-The above statement is unheard of in the Chicago punk scene.
-I have had terrible insomnia since early childhood.
-I have watched my best friend hit rock bottom, and subsequently helped him get to his highest point in life.
-There are those who, when asked what music they like, will say, "I like a little bit of everything", and it's not true. They casually listen to whatever they think sounds good. They don't know what it truly means to "like a little bit of everything".
-Music literally is my life.
-I absolutely hate most bands that are considered 'punk' or 'alternative' by most people, and wish they would open themselves up to more stuff.
-If I listed my favorite bands and music genres, I would never get this posted. It's already lengthy enough.
-Final Fantasy IV is among the greatest games of all time.
-Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, Phantasy Star Online, Paper Mario, and Animal Crossing are among my all-time favorite video games.
-I spent 18 years of my life staying inside and playing every video game known to man. Until then, I did not have a social life.
-I have a strong desire to learn French, and Japanese.
-I want to live in France for a while, and live in Japan for a while.
-This post is way too lengthy for a minimalist.

Also, Jaymie, I've got a handful of vegetarian friends. No hate, do what you do. But saying you feel there's no reason to hunt other than enjoyment is where an issue lays. The population of certain animals will actually get too high, to the point where it's dangerous. You know that disgusting show with those hillbillys shooting alligators in the face? It's terrible and I don't want to see it. But we live in a world where an alligator just snagged a man's dog and ate it right off the dock in his backyard. As the population rises, these dangerous animals push further out and get more ballsy.
I'm totally with you on not hunting, I don't and never have done it. But there's a place in Russia that just declared a State Of Emergency over the sheer number of wolves who are traveling freely and attacking cattle and even sometimes humans.
Scary world.

More truths...
My eighth grade teacher, Mr Barsanti, pulled me out of class one day to tell me that I will never amount to anything and one day I will be in prison...now he kisses my ass every time I see him.
I am the oldest of 4 and the only boy.
My parents split up right after I turned 3...my dad, who was a truck driver at the time, rolled his semi off a cliff and broke his neck and his back in 1988. My mom said she was to weak to deal with the situation, so she left him. I did not see him again until I was 13.
I have been obsessed with professional wrestling for close to 22 years now.
I have 3 children that I am not allowed to see. There is not one day that I don't think about them though. My house is covered in their pictures, I buy cards for each of their birthdays and Christmases and keep them in a Rubbermaid container for when I can see them again. I hope one day they will all be gracious enough to give me the time of day to explain my side of the story...
I have been in 3 different metal/punk bands and I love playing the bass. Nowadays I make hip-hop instrumentals for local artists and friends.
I have 2 pets. Pretzel (cat) & Sunny (dog). Sunny is 15 years old now and acts like she is a puppy...
I am obsessed with the brand 'Nike'...I have no idea why, I just am...
I ruptured 4 discs in my back last february lifting a 15 pound coffee table. I was FINALLY told it was ok to work out mid December...
I used to own an Esclade. My wife randomly borrowed it to go to dinner with her aunt one night and some guy t-boned her on the drivers side going about 55 mph. The impact totalled my Caddy, but if she was driving her VW that night, she wouldn't be here today...
My Uncle was on Jeopardy! Back in the early 90's.
I was selected to go on 'wheel of fortune' for military week, but I was unable to go because my command would not endorse it.

To understand where I'm coming from, one must first realize that this is not just man's world. Sure, most would say we are the earth's most evolved species (although that's debatable), but we are not the earth's most important inhabitants. Everything and everyone plays an integral part in the bigger picture (with the exception of a few species). Plus, we are destroying the earth (and eachother) more than any other species. If a rabid or ferocious animal is attacking you, by all means defend yourself with the intent to kill. That is the natural order and the will to survive. But to kill for any other reason makes no sense from my perspective. If we have the right to kill and overpopulate, so do they. We tear down nature to make room for more real estate. We kill nature's inhabitants to make our own habitat more 'safe', convenient, comfortable. It is a scary world and almost every one of its inhabitants live in a state of fear. But to make the world less scary for us, we make the world a more fearful place for them. |
