I still think Taker should go out undefeated, just wouldn't feel right ending the streak.

I've always said that the streak should never end, however, I do like this idea. Punk is probably the only person I wouldn't mind ending the streak. The would be the thing that people will remember him for. Being the only man to ever defeat The Undertaker at Wrestlemania would put Punk over in ways that nobody has been over before. Plus as a heel, he can brag about it endlessly. IF, it happens though, it needs to be a clean finish, no shield interference or special ref bullshit.

I maintain the same opinion I have for years. I place little value in the streak, quite honestly, however, there are only two people that I could ever imagine ending it at this point.
John Cena, and CM Punk.
Truthfully, though, I have no faith in the validity of this "report", and I think anyone who does is just wishful thinking at best. I don't think WWE has any intention of letting anything else on the card outshine Rock/Cena, and Punk beating The Undertaker would undoubtedly be the biggest moment of the night, regardless of what happens in the main event. It's perfect poetic justice for Punk, but WWE won't see it that way.

The Streak The Undertaker has been undefeated at WRESTLEMANIA since he debuted. 20-0 Something you cant deny is supernatural, guy after guy challenged The Streak thinking they were the ONE, the ONE guy who could defeat The Undertaker on his battleground. No mortal could ever beat The Streak, no mortal could ever beat The Undertaker, and no mortal has ever defeated The Deadman. The Deadman, The Undertaker, The Streak has never been challenged by The bad man, Straight edged, the one who is known as GOD of professional wrestling, The ONE: CM PUNK. Once CM PUNK defeats The Undertaker at WRESTLEMANIA, the supernatural power will have come to an end for The Undertaker, and the supernatural power will have shifted into The ONE: CM PUNK. A new ERA has begun...........

I'm all for if that's the direction they want to go with it. If they can't leave it at 20-0, then it probably should end at some point because I don't see it going to 25 let alone 30. It would be monumental either way. If stays at 20-0 it would be an amazing thing to remember Taker by when he's retired.
But if CM Punk ended it, that would be the biggest accolade he could attain not to mention coming off the heel of the longest title reign of the modern era. The idea almost seems ludicrous given how he was before, during, and after the Royal Rumble. And I feel like unless the way he's booked changes quickly and drastically, it would make Punk, Taker, and the Streak look weak because it'd just look like Dwayne just trumps all of this.
Also, if they are to end streak, it'd have to be this year. 20-0 or 20-1. There are good explanations for both. Beyond that, I dunno...

Maybe Lesnar interferes and screws Taker, to set up one final match at Mania 30 or 31. 21-1 and then retire.

I think it would be a huge missed opportunity to cement another wrestler legacy if Taker retired undefeated.
It's not like it will hurt Undertaker in any way at all. 20 straight wins at WrestleMania is impressive. 20-1 is not a bad thing. I dont know if this "report" is true or not, but if it is, looks like Undertaker views it like I do.
CM Punk is the perfect person to do it too.

I don't want it to end. But if anyone were to do it, I'd be OK with it being Punk. Of course, that story would have been much better if he was still the champion. Monumental reign vs streak. But that's no longer a possibility.

they will never ever let someone end that f**n streak. Even so his feuds are worthless unless he allmost only appears on WM to rise up that score. These feuds won't be interesting anymore. ..maybe some of the matches will be exciting. But we will ever know, how it'll end up. Just for the hell, I would give him some meaningless WM-Matches (vs Hawkins or Dallas or Mahal..) to get his score but showing him, that on the current state it's senseless.

If The Undertaker's streak were to end, I would prefer it to be by Punk than by anybody else.

End it! I've been saying this forever. Prove that after 23 years in the WWF/WWE, and all the revenue brought in and historic matches that 'Taker's career is not defined by being undefeated at one specific show (some of his matches weren't even that great, Giant Gonzalez? King Kong Bundy?) Let him go out on his back and put over the best guy in the company (and maybe the best ever), CM Punk, a guy who went from dirt poor in Chicago, to wrestling in the middle of nowhere, to the biggest headliner in a long, long time. Punk is the face of the company, better than Cena, and the only worker loved by both legitimate marks and smart marks. Make Calaway do the job!

Think about how old school Undertaker is when it comes to the business. I can't see him NOT losing his last match. If this really is his last year, I believe he may lose. However, if there is ANYONE who deserves to NOT lose their last match, just out of pure respect and legend, its definitely him.

However, if there is ANYONE who deserves to NOT lose their last match, just out of pure respect and legend, its definitely him. This is the key point. It's not marketing, it's not backstage bs, or $$$$'s when it comes to Taker, it's respect for the business. He ultimately wants to put someone over and pass the torch because that's how business used to be done. So he'll lose at Mania imo. Not because WWE told him to, but because he wants to. Not to mention, even if he loses, he can still come back and have other matches at Mania. Lets say he loses this year, and decides he wants to do one more at WM30. All you have to do is call into question his vulnerability now that the streak is over and you have a feud out of it. I don't think that will be necessary but it's easy enough. Taker seems like he wants to go out on top while he's still having great matches. Plus, the guy is beat to sh*t. WWE and the fans can't expect him to keep going out and doing this every year. Time catches up to everyone, and he's going to walk away at some point.

Either way it's gonna make Punk look like a bitch. What, is he gonna hit the gts 5 times until he gets the 3? No. They are gonna have everyone and their mother come in and lay the beat down on Takes. Shield, Lesnar, etc. It will make Punk look weak.

I would love to see Punk end the streak. I can't see Taker doing many more matches so perhaps with him losing the streak, it could be the perfect way for him to retire. He's already going down in history with the best win/loss record in Mania. And Punk would go down in history as the guy who handed him his first and only loss. It's a win/win.

The Undertaker would receive a greater ovation if he lost than if he won again.
It would be one of the most emotional moments in WM history.

Just seems wrong that his streak should end. But i suppose taker is becoming older and older and i dunno, its obviously time to pass the torch to a new era. Punk is the guy to do it to...If they ever did it to cena i'd never watch wrestling again.
