Not only is it tough with Anaheim and Texas, but you have the A's who are gonna be solid. It's gonna be a while till they contend.

Doesn't A Rod make as much as the entire team or close to it at least? Looks like another 100 loss season for them.
They are rebuilding, and will get better eventually.

I doubt it, although the Rays and Marlins showed us that lower payrolls can have great young talent.

Rays and Marlins built themselves up through the draft for years while also enduring some terrible season. Astros gonna be bad for a while until they can draft some good talent to build the farm system.
