What happened? I need to know!!! Icarus had Chikara special locked in, Kingston was passed out. Right when Bryce was about to declare Icarus the Grand Champion Wink came out with like 30 security guys and they grabbed everyone and ran them out of the arena and they tore down the stage. Then Leonard screamed "there's archie" and the stream cut to black :0

This has been the greatest and most confusing day of wrestling ever.

I've never been a huge Icarus fan, but over the course of the match I was pulling for him 100%. Interesting to see what happens - perhaps a Civil War esque thing, with some older Chikara guys from Wrestling Is Fun returning to build to the Cibernetico. Don't buy into the story about them losing the rights to the Chikara name, since I assume Quack et al. wouldn't have been silly enough to register the name that way.
Whatever happens, I'm buzzed. If WWE had a PPV ending like that, the internet would have exploded.

Can't "spoil" anything for us, since this is just your thought... as you obviously don't actually KNOW what the angle is. Same as when people predicted the Save_Us.222 campaign, the 2.21.11 campaign, or even the Nexus limo driver angle. Haha

If WWE had a PPV ending like that, the internet would have exploded. From what I've heard, it's over, CHIKARA is done, for the time being. We're keeping it Vegas Ruled here, but given the events that happened behind the scenes, I'm doubting there's any endgame to this(Anyone can PM me, I'll give them the quick synopsis). IF THERE IS IN FACT SHOWS AFTER THIS,I'm very curious as to where this might go. I just figured that Icarus being cheered and rooted for broke time itself,. Icarus winning the title itself would have caused the fabric of space, time, and reality itself. Wink is essentially stopping what could have destroyed all of humanity as we know it. I'm pretty sure he's sitting in his office like "Yeah, thank me later." My theory is that this has been building for as long back as LANCE STEEL. Lance Steel was time traveling. So, we can take that into consideration. Also, there are certain things to consider, such as the fragments of the Eye of Tyr still floating around, most of which probably have to do with Dr.Cube(Don't think we haven't seen the last of him.) Now, with the name up in the air, That could be what all of the "Wrestling Is..." promotions could lead up to. C-Wrestling is Cool H-Wrestling is Honor I-Wrestling is Intense K-Wrestling is.......(Probably Kaiju/Kool/Kawaii[Hopefully not that last one]) A-Wrestling is Art R-Wrestling is Respect A-Wrestling is Awesome !-Wrestling if FUN!!!!! This could mean an interdimentional civil war. Now, Good old LFC pointed out something that he probably shouldn't have. He pointed out "LOOK, THERE'S ARCHIBALD PECK." My theory was that it was not in fact Mr.Marchibald Archibald, but rather, his barrister, and new barrister to Mr.Wink C.Vavassuar, R.D. Evans, unless he was in gear, in which case, it was probably Archie. Archie more likely than not(after his trip to the inexplicably snowy ''Parts Unknown'') in under the control of Wink. Also, if you kept up with the show, and twitter, Derek Sabato tried to go on about unraveling something that was in the works, only to be thwarted by makeshift Chikara secuirty, he would have been killed if it was Condor. More likely than not, Bryce got canned for a} Letting Sabato in or b} Being a CHIKARA team player. One more point is that W.C. Vavassaur was more likely than not going to turn the company over to TITOR CONGLOMERATE. That was more likely than not what he was trying to cover up. Sabato tweeted a picture that showed three square jawed business men, and one business ma'am, at a groundbreaking, those people in the middle of a groundbreaking. Those four are most likely the heads that are TITOR CONGLOMERATE The names of those are James Miller, Kirk Walters W.Conrad Vavassuer, and Martin Woods. One can only assume that W.C. Vavassuer is Wink himself, or his father. It is also to be noted that John Titor was a pseudo-documented time traveler, in theory. Saying that he traveled from the year 2036, saying that by then, there will have been a civil war, saying that the US was to be divided into 5 separate regions. This could be symbolism for the many groups CHIKARA itself is split into. Just my bits and pieces, feel free to add.

I remember when CHIKARA was just some white dudes doing crapty lucha. I'm pretty sure wrestling should never involve this much thinking to understand anything.

I love everything that's going on just now with Chikara. Between 06 and 2011 I was a huge fan, then just kind of drifted away (I think maybe the BDK kills everyone story bored me) but this has got me interested again in the biggest way. Refreshing forums every five minutes to find out all the latest conspiracies, its' like i'm 15 again. Considering comic books and pro wrestling are two of the biggest things I love, Chikara is probably my favourite thing in the world.

Great way to end a PPV. I'm in shock and filled to the brim with anticipation.

I don't see how this angle leads to an increase in business which is the purpose of any angle. I'm pretty sure one of those wrestling is shows just drew 75 people to it. So to split up CHIKARA into eight different angles/companies is just dumb from a business sense.

I also want to add, reported from multiple accounts, that Green Lantern Fan was demanding a refund and immaturely going off as if his life was ruined.

CHIKARA UPDATES by Mike Johnson @ 12:42 PM on 6/3/2013
The Chikara talent all signed non disclosure agreements so they won't be saying anything about this publicly.
As we noted last night in the PWInsider.com Elite section, it is expected that all of the announced CHIKARA dates will shortly be canceled or converted into live events presented by the promotion's "Wrestling Is..." satellite promotions.
CHIKARA the brand, as it stands, has run its last event, at least for some time. No whether that's the end of the promotion or some really intricate angle and storyline remains to be seen. Josh Higham has a great write-up detailing all the background of what led into the show closing moments last night.
There was no official announcement as to what was going on in the locker room, although I am told small groups of wrestlers were spoken to over the course of the night. We were also told that the roster was asked to signed non-disclosure agreements before last night's event. Given how secretive CHIKARA is usually with all their plans, I'm not surprised to hear that.
I do know that A number of CHIKARA performers have started reaching out to independent promoters looking for work to replace what were originally CHIKARA dates this summer.
There were several incidents with fans in the wake of the end of the show. One fan was so angry about security forcing him out of the building, he shoulderblocked a glass door and ended up breaking the glass door. I am sure the venue LOVED tnat. Another fan loudly refused to leave the Trocadero's box office, demanding a refund. He was so disruptive that the venue management was going to call the police to remove him. It was described to me as "the worst stereotypical wrestling fan tantrum you could imagine."

Having never watched or followed Chikara, seeing all the buzz from last night's show has me intrigued and 100% confused as to what the hell is going on.

The amount of users on the Chikara 101 went up drastically last night after the show. Chikara did something that really makes no sense for a wrestling promotion. I think people discredit the fact that Chikara is essentially a live comic book played out with pro wrestling. Yeah it's ridiculous to some, but it's one of the more inventive ideas in wrestling.

I hope you are not implying that new users on a forum is equal to an increase in business. It is not. To even see the board you must sign up for it. Most likely it was people wanting to see what the reaction was from some of the more obsessive CHIKARA fans. People who already know about CHIKARA who already watch, attend, or pirate it. I have to get it to Quack. Only he can turn a divorce into a some sort of weird comic book wrestling angle.
