Its been a while since i posted my work on here, but I've caught the custom figure bug again and been creating. I thought it was time i shared!
My aim since starting this project was to create an "unofficial" series of figures of the Wrestlers who although stand out talent of the Era, were never included in the original Galoob Line up. A depiction of what Galoob might have produced if they continued the series. With that in mind i try and take into consideration the look and attire of the wrestlers during the 1990 -1992 period, for the most accurate and authentic outcome.
As an adult collector of Galoobs its easy to overlook the fact that In the early 1990's the galoob WCW figures were marketed and sold as Toys, and intended to be played with. So i wanted to keep that in mind with my Customs. Putting the Figures in poses that would allow for the best playability so that you can execute a particular wrestler's finishing move.
Anyway here goes, in reverse Chronological order...
Jake "The Snake" Roberts
Although he had a brief run In WCW in 1992, Jake Roberts is deserving of a WCW figure IMO. So here is my Jake Roberts, In 1992 Attire and set in DDT ready pose. Currently working on Snake accessory to go with this figure too.

Dr. Death Steve Williams
One of my favorite wrestlers, Williams had classic matches in the Tag Team division with Terry Gordy and i have no doubt galoob would have featured them together in a tag pack eventually. This is my Custom of Williams in his classic Red Tights and White / red Flame detailed Boots. The pose was chosen to resemble Steve's "Hulking up / Running on the spot" pose, as well as being a good position to execute the Oklahoma Stampede powerslam.

"Stunning" Steve Austin
Main stay of the WCW Mid-card Steve Austin, set in a pose great for his initial finisher the spinning clothesline and also his more frequently used "Stun Gun" finisher across the top rope.

Nikita Koloff
The Russian Nightmare Nikita Koloff in Circa 1991 Attire and Set in Russian Sickle Clothesline pose. Complete with Chain accessory.
Big Van Vader
My First Custom that i originally posted on this site back in 2010. Chose the Black and Red Full head mask attire as it is synonymous with Vader's debut in WCW against Z-Man in 1990. The figure is set in a "Vader bump" pose ideal for an avalanche against the turnbuckle, Splashes and moonsaults.
