This is WWF in the mid 1980s, I believe this is circa 1985.

Two Walmart Hogan exclusives came out at the same time. One was a WWE return attire with an all tye-dye shirt and long tights. The other was this one. You're correct, there was a Canadian exclusive version of this with a stamp. I don't believe the actual figures are different other than that.

I remember these being on a cube at Walmart as part of a promotion with the first Hogan DVD set. I always thought of this as sort of an unofficial "No Holds Barred" Hogan.

Wasn't there a thing in the USA where if you bought the Hogan dvd, you could get either this Hogan or the other one for free??
I know it wasn't like that in Canada when those two figures came in. They clogged an end display case at my local Walmart. I bought them both though, because at the time I thought they were pretty cool.

I think it was, but WalMart put the figures out a week or two early in most cases...so by the time the DVD was out the figures were gone. I know I purchased mine a week before the DVD.

I had them both before the DVD as well, I love the WWE era Hogan and it was nice to see a pre-hulkamania era Hogan on the shelf.

Which one is more valuable? There both pretty rare. Very hard to find in the uk, you may see the odd one on ebay but not very often.

I'd love to have one of the cubes that they came in to display my Hogan collection. I wish I would have asked someone when I saw first saw it.

Never found this at my crummy Wal-Mart. Either they sold fast or probably were never in stock. I will pick it up on Ebay someday - the prices for it aren't bad.

They're not very rare, but they're pretty cool to own.

I liked both of those exclusives. Seems like it was just yesterday that we were all posting about getting them early...lol. This figure was my favorite of the 2. Getting a non red\yellow WWF Hogan was pretty cool to me. For anyone who still like to bash Jakks, theres no way they can argue that they knocked the ball out of the park with Hulk Hogan figures. From the iconic looks to the more obscure and career spanning attires all the way through his TNA run, they gave us a very comprehensive Hogan collection.

I bought them online. Also got the "Canada exclusives" here in toronto. I remember these were on the shelves for months! Similar to the canadian exclusive billy graham. Really awesome figs but were available for a looooooong time.
