If JDS is working his cardio like I think he's doing after the Cain fight, then Hunt could be in some trouble stamina wise. If not, I see no reason why he couldn't hand in there with Junior the same way Nelson did. He hasn't got bad cardio, he got rocked badly, and almost finished multiple time that alone tires a man with the best cardio. Plus he was against a grinding wrestler like Velasquez. Been hearing people question his cardio constantly after that fight, he'll be fine in that area. Won't argue with that as I'd never seen him have cardio problems before. Can't blame people for questioning his conditioning after watching him gas in the 1st to 2nd round. Even if it was from getting rocked.

I still don't think Dos Santos was too gassed cause he was still able to block a lot of takedown attempts (even though Cain was able to do it easier at the end)

According to UFC Tonight, the UFC has asked Roy Nelson to get licensed by the state of Nevada in the event that Mark Hunt cannot fight on May 25th at UFC 160... Hunt has not been allowed to leave New Zealand because of a 2002 arrest, making things awkward.
I really hope they can get this issue sorted - I'm much more looking forward to the Dos Santos/Hunt fight, than the Cain/Bigfoot rematch...

It would suck if they had to cancel the JDS/Hunt fight, but JDS/Nelson wouldn't be a bad consolation prize.

So is anyone giving Bigfoot a chance? I know after his wins over Fedor and Overeem you can never write him off, but Cain just destroyed him last time... and I don't think Bigfoot has improved since then. I hope it's competitive, but wouldn't be at all surprised to see another mauling by Cain. And, nothing against Dos Santos, but I'd love a big victory by Hunt (and a title-shot)... it would be an amazing Rocky/comeback story.

I think he has a better chance than he did before. Hopefully he won't throw any kicks right off the bat against a wrestler like Cain. May wanna edit that opening thread title!

Cain Velasquez (c) Vs Antonio Silva - Third Round TKO
Junior Dos Santos Vs Mark Hunt - First Round KO
Glover Teixeira Vs James Te-Huna - First Round KO
Gray Maynard Vs TJ Grant - Unanimous Decision
Donald Cerrone Vs KJ Noons - Third Round Submission
Don't see Bigfoot winning, but he will definitely do better than his last outing with Cain.
I would have went with JDS via UD, like I did when he defeated Carwin, but something tells me JDS is looking to make a statement in his first fight since losing the belt. I like Hunt, but I'm a bigger JDS fan. If Hunt does end up losing I would love to see him fight Roy.

Did anyone for sure count the takedowns in that fight? Valasquez broke the record for number of take downs in a fight with 11. That fight went 5 rounds. This guy had to have over 20 take downs in that fight. I counted 24 but not sure if getting them to there hands and knees officially counts. I kind of am upset they didn't say the scores. I'd have loved to see how many rounds that guy got 8 or less.

Decent card, thus far. The main card should pick up the pace.

decent, if unspectacular preliminary card. holloway/bermudez was a really solid fight, though i had holloway winning.

i think kjs right eye [the cornea or whatever] might be cut, because he told them to get the blood out, and the blood was clearly gone from around the eye. hes getting brutalized right now.
