I've always wondered what happened but have never been able to find an answer.
Zack Ryder's first authentic shirt was the "Broski" headband one. After he shortly rose to fame I read that the WWE was trademarking the term "Broski". Fat forward to now anytime this shirt or design appears the work "Broski" is completely gone. On WWE '13, on the mattel back cards, on his DVD.
What happened? As far as I know, no one is using that word, and never before have I seen anyone have their logos blacked out like this.

Maybe Ryder beat them to the punch? How great would that be?

Still had a move called the broski boot so I ant be any copyright infringement. It is odd.

There are conflicting reports on the rights. WWE own the trademark to use on clothing, but it seems someone else (Ryder himself? Or maybe a completely unrelated entity) owns it for a lot of merchandising purposes. Hence it not being on toys, games, cards etc.

I know he sells a lot of his merch through Barbershopwindow.com

Ryder would never be able to get away with that since the WWE owns all intellectual property created by any superstar while they are under contract.
