Like I said I bought one for $180 shipped on eBay Wednesday. If the guy would have told me he was only an hour away I would have went and picked it up myself 180 is way too much but if youre happy thats what counts. I think I posted earlier the closest place to me that had one was 3 to 3 and a half hours away in Bullhead City, Arizona. I drive a V6 gas it's $70 to fill up so you figure one tank there and one tank back is already $140 Plus $30 for the ring itself And let's say for drinks and food for a 6 or 7 hour trip $50 bucks So $70 $70 $30 +$50$220 I think it's not so bad considering the prices they have been going for on eBay.

They will eventually release one. Not unless the economy changes and retailers decide it's not a risk to stock it. Retailer are more than happy to just sell the basic rings...because most parents aren't going to drop $70 on a RSR in this economy. And to be honest I have two and if I had to pay full retail for either of them I'd have passed...because while it is nice and roomy I don't feel it was worth the MSRP. The only reason I have 2 was because I got my first one for half price from TRU when it was first released , because I had $30 in rewards coupons. And the second one cost me $15 or $20 at Big Lots as a doorbuster sale in 2011.

I'm not looking to buy any more scale rings but TRU carries a large, expensive WWE playset every year. Why not a TRU exclusive scale ring for the holidays? Unless Mattel feels a ring without some kind of gimmick or accessories has no value to enough average customers because the size and price excuse doesn't seem entirely valid.

I'm glad I picked one up online about a year ago......I thought prices were crazy back then!

I'm going to guess because the stores have a say in what exclusive they get. And TRU doesn't want it. A smaller ring with figures or accessories is much more appealing than just a ring.
