Here's a Bossman fix-up that makes him look like Bossman and not a impersonator. I personally think the Mattel head ruined the figure and was the worse head to date. BIG Thanks to Dean who altered the head to fit on the Mattel body. I'm very happy with Bossman now. The different shades arnt that bad in person.

I don't think it works for his early days...

IMO, Mattel nailed the E14 Big Bossman...
It's one of my favorite figures for sure. It's nice of Dean to hook you up with his amazing work though...

Head looks a little small, but I definitely agree that the TTL head is better than Mattel's.

I think that rounder head is better suited for a corporate Bossman. When he was the cop, he had that square head, buzzcut.

I like it. Mattel's was more for his early heel run, while yours looks like his time as a face.

Wow. I don't think the Mattel one looks like him a all even when he was on the larger (heel) side. I've looked through loads of pics of Bossman... I found the style they were going for but it looks nothing like him.
I know it's more of a corporate look but I feel that's better than a head that looks nothing like the man. (IMO of course).
I'm glad your all happy with yours and I'm happy to finally have mine looking acceptable to me.

Maybe it's just me, but I see this as Mattel era.... And this as his fix ups era.... So I think they both are acceptable.
