Might as well start this up now that some official information is making its way out. Let the speculation begin.

From all early indications, this game is just going to be a rehash of the THQ/Yukes game under a different publisher and game title. I was really hoping we would get a complexity new game, with different character body designs, different move and entrance animations and just a totally new look and feel. But as it stands right now....it's probably just going to be the same game we've been getting for years, with an updated roster and some tweaks here and there. Very disappointing. I'm tired of feeling like I'm playing the same game every year.

I'm tired of feeling like I'm playing the same game every year. I think it's nearly impossible to say any of that for sure. Just because they're working with Yukes and have kept some key guys from THQ around doesn't mean it's going to be a copy and paste job. This is the company's first effort with the game, and I'm sure they'll at least try and do something with it. Obviously it's not going to be built from scratch, but I'm expecting something different--if nowhere else, at least visually. It's really too early to say anything for sure, considering we haven't seen anything about the game and know nothing about it other than it's name. It is interesting to see that they're still aiming for a fall release.

Could you change 'Fall 2013' for the UK to Autumn 2013 please? We don't call it fall.
Go WWE

I think it will be a "rehash", in that it will be the same game WWE 14 was going to be, minus some presentation aspects perhaps. Then, WWE 2K15 will be a "new" title, built from the ground up. I think that would work best for everyone, really. No sense in losing all that money/work and missing a lucrative release when they can just publish what was going to be released and have the time to develop something different next year.

They're gonna have to go above and beyond expectation to surpass WWE '13

I'm so glad the WWE games will be using the 2K Sports branding. They'll finally look and feel like legitimate sports simulation games. I cannot wait to see what 2K does in terms of the look and feel of the games.

I read that they're going to treat it like their NBA series, which is great. I'm glad it won't be like their MLB games.

What was originally planned for WWE '14? Let's be serious, '13 was great, for a week. After finishing Attitude Era mode, the fun level dropped down to ziltch. I never redid one match from it and I got the game the day it was released. WWE 2K14 is gonna be big. I mean the name itself has prestige. Plus, I see the the publicity at an all new high. The game should be completley rehauled. Pick an Era and stick with it, no rehashing old storylines like with Attitude Era mode because the first time you play it's great but there is no replay value. The story mode needs to go back to how it used to be. Goals for your guy to accomplish. Work you're way to Wrestlemania, get screwed, have options that lead to branching storylines like in No Mercy. The graphics also need to be top notch. The NBA games are near perfect in that sense so I hope they use the same program for the wrestlers models.

Very, very glad they are keeping Yukes! Yeah a "new feel" would have been nice, but not necessarily better than THQ's/Yuke's previous efforts.
Hopefully with a bigger budget, and new eyes and ideas from 2K can help freshen up an already great foundation WWE '12/'13 gave us.

I'm thinking this first year will be Yuke's because why waste all the time they've been developing the game, and they're already getting one of their subsidiaries to work on WWE 2K15. It only makes sense.
(And I just saw on Twitter that Ledesma's now with 2K Sports... damn it.)

We'll have to see how good this is.
No way it will top WWE 13.

I really just want them to keep Story Designer and Create an Arena. I couldn't play the game without those two.

I'm just laughing at people on the WWEgames Facebook claiming that it's been hacked and it's not real. It's probably because they wanted EA to get WWE and not 2K.

Odd how that article calls it WWE '14 while everything else calls it WWE 2K14...
