WFWF Defiance was a show for the ages as 15,735 crammed into the Chesapeake Energy Arena as the WFWF superstars continued their trek down the road to Superbrawl. One superstar that will play a big part of one of the big matches on Superbrawl however was not in attendance at Defiance. WFWF International Champion Lucas Crowe was serving the last few days of a thirty day suspension levied on him after he viciously assaulted a WFWF official following his second straight defeat in as many matches at the WFWF Exodus show. At the time immediately following word of the suspension, his advocate and former WFWF Superstar Justin Tyme had this to say:
He then promised to go into further detail at WFWF Defiance. However with so much going on and so many action packed matches, there simply wasn’t a chance to give Justin Tyme a platform on the live broadcast. However, in an effort to appease “one of the top two richest people in the WFWF” (his words) we sent WFWF.com’s elite backstage reporter Richard Donaldson to conduct a sit down interview with the former WFWF International and WFWF Tag Team Champion and current advocate for one of the most dominant rookies in WFWF (again, his words).
Richard Donaldson: I’m here backstage following WFWF Defiance, what an electric night here. The fans are still buzzing from all of the action. Sitting with me now is one Justin Tyme. Justin, how are you doing tonight?
Justin Tyme: Fair to midland. How’s the neck there Ricky?
Richard Donaldson: It’s fine, thanks for your genuine concern.
Justin Tyme: You are genuinely welcome.
Richard Donaldson: I have many questions to ask you so I’m glad you’ve asked for this time.
Justin Tyme: Now see I’m going to stop you right there. I didn’t ask for
this time. I asked for time out in the middle of that ring so I can address the people that probably paid money to see Lucas Crowe when tickets initially went on sale. I owed them an explanation but instead what we got was a show focused on whether or not an alcoholic vagabond was going to make it to the arena in time to do his job.
Richard Donaldson: I guess that falls into an answer for my first question that being what are your opinions on Lucas Crowe’s future Superbrawl opponent, David Brennan?
Justin Tyme: My thoughts are that I’m not concerned with David Brennan as an opponent for my monster Lucas Crowe. My thoughts are that I’m far more concerned that David Brennan can even make it to Superbrawl without completely flying off the rails, landing in a gutter somewhere that I’m sure he would much rather be in. The spotlight and fame of being an internationally televised superstar is not really made for a David Brennan nor is championship gold really. See my beast has been working hard for over a year to get to the point where he is going to be walking into Superbrawl as a champion and he’s walking in there against an opponent who is the very definition of unreliable. That’s not fair to Lucas, it’s not fair to me and it’s not fair to the WFWF. David can barely show up to the arena on time. So I guess my thoughts about David Brennan is that I don’t spend my time thinking about David Brennan.
Richard Donaldson: People argue all the time that momentum plays a huge factor in this industry would you not agree?
Justin Tyme: Sure I’ll bite.
Richard Donaldson: Then wouldn’t it be fair to say that Lucas Crowe stands behind the 8-ball heading towards Superbrawl? He’s coming off two straight losses and a 30-day suspension for violent conduct against a WFWF official whereas David Brennan won his match tonight against Maxwell Dachs, a promising upstart. Before that he knocked off Dex at Exodus, he beat your beast in a Triple Threat match and back at Black Hole Sun to become Number One Contender for Lucas Crowe’s championship. Should not Crowe be worried about David Brennan’s momentum heading into Superbrawl?
Justin Tyme: You made so many points there, allow me to refute them all. Firtly, there has never been a moment in that man’s life, that man being Lucas Crowe my crown jewel, not one moment where he’s ever been behind the 8-ball… ever! Secondly, yes Brennan has won all of his last few matches and momentum would thusly be well on his side. However to elaborate on the point you made, momentum is literally the only thing on David Brennan’s side. Is it a big factor? Absolutely. But do you know what else is a big factor? Size. Lucas Crowe has won many of his matches here based almost solely on size differential against his opponents. But now Ricky, now Lucas Crowe has tapped into something else. He’s tapped into raw, primal rage. When Brennan steps into the ring with Crowe mano e mano at Superbrawl he will not be stepping into the ring with the same Lucas Crowe that he beat a few months ago. This Lucas Crowe is a completely different animal as I believe you discovered first hand. He’s a hunter, a killing machine and an alpha male above all else. So at Superbrawl he’s going to break Brennan’s body, he’s going to eat the flesh that’s left on his decaying body and he’s going to dispose of the rest of his carcass and he’s going to walk out of that building still the best beast in the business.
Richard Donaldson: Let’s talk then for a moment about this new Lucas Crowe as you said. As you said, I ran into this side of Lucas Crowe and I can’t say I enjoyed my time spent with it. Then just a month after being given a notice of warning to abstain from contact with non-competitor personnel he attacks a referee following another loss. Are you worried that you no longer have as much control over your beast as you once did?
Justin Tyme: Listen, the day I do not have control over Lucas Crowe is the day that the entire world of wrestling as we know it ends. Are you familiar with the comic book character Doomsday? The supposed ultimate killing machine? Whatever he sees he kills and there’s no exception. Lucas Crowe has all the toxic potential to be the doomsday of the WFWF. So it’s best not to even humor a scenario in which I don’t have control over Lucas Crowe. Trust me.
Richard Donaldson: Sounds to me like you are almost afraid of Lucas Crowe breaking his chains and freeing himself from your grasp.
Justin Tyme: I am not afraid of anything, I have nothing to be afraid of. I told Lucas from the very beginning that my role was to get his foot in the door and give him any and all opportunities he is deserving of. I have more than held up my end of the bargain for him and in turn he has helped people remember the name Justin Tyme.
Richard Donaldson: Equivalent exchange?
Justin Tyme: Absolutely!
Richard Donaldson: What has Lucas Crowe been doing the past 30 days then to make sure no ring rust settles in?
Justin Tyme: Lucas is an unrivaled competitor. He has been in the training facility down in Pensacola every single day training twelve hours a day. I told you he’s a beast, there’s no one on this planet that’s capable of keeping up that kind of schedule. Lucas Crowe isn’t of this planet. He’s an otherworldly being that I’m thankful every day that the universe placed him in my lap.
Richard Donaldson: What’s your prediction for the opponents of this new Lucas Crowe then going into the future?
Justin Tyme: My prediction? Pain.
Richard Donaldson: I’m sorry Justin, that was to be my last question for you but I’m just getting news now that I have to ask you about.
Justin Tyme: Make it snappy, I didn’t plan to be here all night.
Richard Donaldson: As I’m sure you’re aware, Trace Demon was originally slated to team with Samael Ahriman to take on Drakz and Josh Dean for the WFWF Tag Team Championships.
Justin Tyme: Yes I recall hearing something to that effect.
Richard Donaldson: And as I’m also sure you’re aware, Trace Demon has stated he will no longer be able to take part in that match due to injuries sustained at the hands of his would be partner. I’ve received word of Trace’s replacement partner.
Justin Tyme:Ah what an opportunity this will be for my returning champion! I mean Lucas and I are both big fans of Drakz and we both hate Josh because he’s a chump but Lucas won’t be going easy on them. He’s got to pick up some W’s on the way to Superbrawl.
Richard Donaldson: I’m sorry Justin, it’s not Lucas that is taking Trace’s spot… it’s David Brennan.
Justin Tyme: … I’m sorry, what?
Richard Donaldson: David Brennan will be teaming with Samael Ahriman to take on Drakz and Josh Dean for the WFWF Tag Team Championships at Horizon.
Justin Tyme: … You’re going to have to excuse me Ricky, I have a phone call I have to make.
Richard Donaldson: Well there you have it folks. I would like to thank Justin Tyme for granting me this truly rare opportunity to talk. Always good of him to be so willing to grace us with his presence. But that’s going to do it for me here, make sure to tune into WFWF Horizon for that huge main event, the return to the ring of the WFWF International Champion Lucas Crowe and other non-stop action that only the WFWF can provide. I’m Richard Donaldson for WFWF.com.
OOC: So this was kinda what I was gonna before the card went up without the stuff about the Tag match but after I heard that was gonna be the plan I held off on posting it to tack on that last bit. I also debated adding this to my next RP but it's entirely Justin Tyme focused which would probably drive some people up the wall so I put it here. This is the most fun I've had writing just JT in I don't remember how long.
