www.EBAY LINK NOT ALLOWED.uk/itm/WWE-WWF-MEGA-RARE-BRAND-NEW-ACTION-RING-MUST-SEE-/370762144658?pt=UK_ToysGames_ActionFigures_ActionFigures_JN&hash=item5653255b92 Saw this one on eBay in the UK and noticed that it's very similar to a Nitro ring made by Toybiz that I used to have: ![](http://i42.tinypic.com/ri58k7.jpg) The ring mould looks the same, as does the way the posts connect, although the designs are different. Can anyone shed any light on why a Jakks ring and a Toybiz ring are so similar/the same?

They are the same, Jakks bought up the molds (I think another company had them before Toybiz).

I used to have the WWF version of this ring, as a kid I was rough with it during matches, and the turnbuckles didn't last too long. Great for display though.

The posts on that WWF one are the same as on the Havoc Unleashed ring.

I think that was originally a LJN mold, which is why Jakks would have it, I think it was the ring for the stretchy wrestlers from the 80s

Yes this was the first used for WWF LJN Bendies. It was later used for a boot legged ring in the mid 90's superstar broadcast wrestling ring. SO it's interesting that it has been used by WWF, WCW, WWE, and non brand.

That confused the hell out of me as a kid. They did a few different WCW rings with that mold (I believe the New Blood one w/ figures was one of the last rings they made). At the time, figure aisles had WWF Jakks fighting with WCW Toybiz with ECW OSFTM kinda creeping up on the side, so to see something WCW made with a WWF brand on it only a bit later was quite unexpected.
