So I was out the other day and noticed a Big Lots had literally just opened that day. I've seen posts on here noting some stores carry figures so I decided to check. They had a bunch of rings and about two of each guy from Basic series 12. I'm assuming this series is almost two years old. Is there a reason why a brand new store would get old inventory? Can I expect the store to be getting more older orders coming in?

Big Lots is basically a liquidation store. Its never going to have "new" stock even though its a new store. You're basically going to find stuff that doesnt sell in Walmart, Target and Kmart in there.

I'm suprised you honestly had to ask this... if you looked around the store at all, the products on the shelves would have answered this... hell mine still carries playstation 2 stuff....

Thanks guys. Five dollars seemed like a good deal, but I was not interested in any of the figs stocked. Hopefully some older figures I actually care about come in the next couple months.

You have to remember these are usually figures that didnt sell well so dont expect an Elite 9 Ryder or a Basic Vickie or any other hard to find figures show up anywhere. You're gonna get a lot of Cena, Orton, Mysterio, Flex Force, Rumblers and possibly some legends if there's any left.

I just found a "Defining Moments" Undertaker (1996 version). Very cool figure, one of my new favorites - $13.
Have seen a lot of "Defining Moments" Ricky The Dragon Steamboats at Big Lots...

Not exactly because they do get non overstock items sometimes too, like Mexican Coca-Cola which isn't clearanced or overstock.

Some Big Lots got cases of Legends 3 and 4 in late last year with figures for around 9-11 bucks a piece. Myn didnt but some people scored some good figures for a great price.

You mentioned you saw a bunch of rings? What kind man? I have no idea. I google imaged the Elite Scale ring and I'm pretty sure it wasn't that one.

I passed up Eddie Guerrero and Kevin Von Erich, I was wishing for a Texas Tornado.... now I kinda wish I'd bought that Eddie.

My big lots helped me acquire all of L4 and L6 last year. Now they are getting the old survivor series heritage and old extreme rules sets.

True but that's not usually the case for toys. 90% of the time the only "new" toys that Big Lots gets are generic knockoff stuff.

Big Lots was Legends city before last Christmas. It was awesome since I just started collecting again and I missed most of those at retail.
