My favorite Basic figure has to be Michael McGillicutty. Good part choices, good attire, great facescan (although the head seems a bit big, Joe himself does have a wide face.) Amazing figure. They hit it out of the park with him.. I wish I could say the same thing for Trent. The two new Daniel Bryans (BP20 & WM28 Heritage) are awesome. I like Bryan's figures better in Basic form, actually. Throw E19's "YES!" shirt onto WM28's perfectly matching burgundy color, and it looks like a million bucks. Me, too, the torso is a great match and not too thin like his elite one. Right now my favorite is BO2012, though the coloring of the hair/beard is sort-of off. Good scan regardless, and I'll probably end up getting the WM one. |

Basic Khali.. Pretty underrated I think. Definitely the best. A whole different sculpt on the entire figure which is unique only to Khali if I'm not mistaken.  You are correct on every count. This figure really is cool, and is made of unique parts, although I prefer the Summerslam Heritage one to this, only because of the scan. There's been 4 though, and to the OP, they are all good, so any would be a good choice. |

I'd check out some of the Battle Packs if you're just building up a collection. You get more bang for your buck and most of the figures are very solid.
BP18 Triple H and CM Punk - both terrific figures and a cool accessory.
BP18 Ryder and Dolph - Also two fantastic figures, although they've had a few singles releases that I believe are slightly better (Zack's headscan update)
All of BP 19 - Bryan and Show are good figures with the cool bandage accessory. Primo and Epico are awesome too. And, Cena and Kane, for me this is the perfect Basic Cena and Kane is a terrific figure and again they come with an awesome accessory.
And a few slightly older BP's, Orton and Christian - best Christian yet, IMO. Punk and Savage, enough said.
The new BP Sheamus and Orton looks good too. As well as the Prime Time Players.
Also, the new Teddy Long BAF series looks like a solid lineup of Basics and you'd get Teddy, so that's a plus.

Depends on your preference....do you collect everything/anything?
are you looking just stuff within the past year? or all time?
do you have interest in the legends/flashback basics (Royal Rumble Heritage Bret Hart)

I went from never buying 2 packs to buying most of the Battle Packs when they re-branded. I had purchased 3 2-packs from series 1-11. The character selections have been better on the Battle Packs, and the inclusion of accessories is nice. I just want to throw Battle pack Mason Ryan as well as Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater to that list. |

I don't collect basics, but if I were to start I would get B25 Brock Lesnar, B23 Kane, B24 CM Punk & B24 Sheamus to begin. Oh, and maybe B24 Cena, just to get him out of the way.

Off the top of my head...
Ryback is probably my fav basic figure to date, i think mattels figure style lends itself so well to Ryback.
New brock is cool but i do prefer the elite.

Me personally ....
Gotta go with the RRH HBK. Great unique scan w/ a great (and accurately executed) attire.
Also, Im very high currently on the B27 Cesaro. It looks fantastic in person and I think it has some really nice details (chest hair, socks, stubble, etc.)
Also the basic 27 Miz and I also really like the new TRU BOPPV ADR exclusive (build a figure), great gold attire w/ black designs.

B23 Kane and B22 Booker T are the first 2 that come to my mind. Both are done perfectly and I love the look on B22 Booker T's face! EDIT: I forgot to throw in B16 Ultimate Warrior too. Bookers lack of gloves bothers me greatly |
