just about all the songs are really good on this his last album he released. It Ain't the Whiskey, Every Storm, and Pieces are my favs.

Absolutely bar none, their best album. Nightmare>Self Titled I cannot agree with that. I love Mike Portnoy's drums on that, but the S/T is just on another level. I had a Rock Allegiance playlist made up - since deleted it - but I didn't pick anything from Nightmare. Possibly because I overplayed it when it came out, but I can listen all the way through the S/T any day and not skip a single song.

It’s definitely close, Nightmare is my #1 and ST is my #2 and neither one is really better than the other by a large margin. I like Nightmare better just because I like the way it’s structured, but those two just blow all of their other records away.
