Otherwise, its way too "happy" and poppy for a Volbeat album

Highlights to me are Cape Of Our Hero, Hangman's Body Count, Lola Montez, Room 24 and Our Loved Ones. The whole album is very good I think. |

I didn't mean it necessarily in a bad way, its just not exactly what I was expecting on first listen. I remember their interviews saying they had some heavy riffs and it was a very guitar oriented album, so I expected most of it to be the in your face, opening to Dead But Rising style. But the second run through I liked it a lot more and found myself moving along with the more "happier" songs a lot |
