If I wanted outrageous prices, lack of theftproof packaging, crappy distribution, killing of the Legends line and a ton of unsold shelfwarming Rey Mysterio Jr figures, then yes, I am happy with Mattel

I'm loving Mattel and have since day one. I think the figures are an upgrade and he best wrestling figures released on a whole so far. I hope they keep the license for a long time.

Mattel figs are good, probably better than jakks. But they lose serious points for all the short packing they are doing. If they would stop doing that and if retail stores would do a much better job of getting in items and restocking them constantly that would make it much better.
Is it me or was finding sought after jakks figures not this much of a hassle ? At least i never had the issues i had collecting bret hart figures as i now have collecting punks.

The only thing I wish was included with the Mattel figures was shoulder hinges. The occasional attire mistakes, paint apps, bad head scans, and wrong knee pads/elbow pads is looked over by me because of all their fantastic work. Their figures were what got me back into collecting after quitting Jakks. I am definitely happy Mattel took over the WWE license. Keep doing what your doing Mattel!

I have loved the move to Mattel from day 1. At first I questioned such headscans as Swaggers first and even Triple H. But, after those they have blown the figure making business out of the water. For one how quickly they bring out a new series and for all lines (basic, BP, and Elite) is keeping the fans interested. Along with how quick they are to bring out "First time in line" superstars. It seemed it took Jakks a year to get anyone new and now with the quick and anxious Mattel its done in half the time. Love them. Thank them.

Another big plus in my opinion is the scale issue. Not just the figure scale between characters like Rey Mysterio & Kane, but also the fact that the elite & basic lines are to scale w/ one another. It always pissed me off that DA figures had so much better articulation than RA figures, but were so much larger that they didn't look right displayed together. I have 2 basic figures (Great Khali & AJ) & around 85 elite figures. It's very pleasing to me that I can display AJ & Khali w/ the others w/out them looking out of place.

they have done a very solid job, but I will never understand why mattel used the jakks model of RA & DA which in mattel = Basic vs elite? why use that system I dont get it. we were all use to it but its was not really a great system. I would prefer just something in the middle and only one line. Because they wanted cheaper basic figures for more casual appeal and variation, and more premium figures for people who were willing to pay more. Something in the middle would mean taking something away from both ends of that spectrum because not only would the figures have less detail/accessories/articulation than elites, they'd also be more expensive than basics. Because the Jakks ones sold, and that size ring fits well on a store shelf. at first I thought that too, the basic were for kids but its clear that rumblers and slammers are for kids, adult collectors want elites so whats the basics for? IMO its to buy while you wait for the elite LOL!! I do wish for one thing I wish basics would have a angled cut joint at the trunks! if you have a matt hardy or tommy dreamer from jakks thats what I am talking about! its a angled joint so that when the fig sits down his legs spread. That way they can do power bombs and drivers with basic articulation. right now basics really cant even sit down and its still just a cut joint so no expensive ball or swilves

I didn't bother with Mattel to begin with, mainly because of the fact I have a huge Jakks collection which I still feel for the depth and variety of characters will be tough to match.
However I can recognise that Mattel have done some good work with the WWE line, especially since I collect the basic Divas that they have put out which Jakks didn't release as they are perfect to display with my collection.

Aside from Mattel making it hard for us to find these figures I love their product. Truth be told, if this was another companies product and distribution, I would have given up on them a long time ago.
Mattel figures can't be beat. The only reason I would want Mattel to lose the WWE license is so this way they can pick up the TNA license and I can finally have a perfect collection of action figures.
I will say I do miss the variety in playsets and toy belts Jakks gave us.

Yeah im really happy with the work they have done and i don't think they will ever loose the license.
i have still my jakks figures on a box at a place to store stuff from the house at my home. they were cool but really they seems to be cheap work as you compare them to mattel ones.
the only thing good i think they did was ring gear that was the best and will ever be the best.
i collect mattel, i cant get them all but i buy some that are really important and those that i like.

as a legends/flashback only collector, VERY Disappointed.
the quality of figs is AWESOME, but the selection is LACKING HORRIBLY.
currnet fans get new figs and new outfits constantly. 80/early 90's legends dont many figs per year, which makes collecting boring.
I want to buy, and want to collect, but Mattel doesnt give many options when it comes to legends/flashbacks.
