I think Hilary will run if her health provides. She will have a more difficult time winning the Demo nomination than the General election in my opinion.
Trends state that a Republican will be elected, and likely will if they run someone who can relate to the middle class, normal person (not Romney). However, if going against Clinton, it will be a tall task.
What has elected Obama the last 2 years is young college educated or students who are just entering into the workforce/real world. Minorities have helped, but they always vote Democrat, so it isn't as big of a deal some make it out to be.
It was expected the 1st election, and I knew once people started listening to him, he would blow by Hilary and win in 08. I myself supported him, and thought that he could do some good. The same voting trend happened in 2012, which wasn't as expected. Romney was a poor candidate with this economy though.
More people are going to college, and it is a liberalizing experience, so that is an obstacle for Republicans in general. Right candidate runs they can win.
However, we have never been so divided. A President only has so much power, and it is tough to accomplish anything these days. Obama had a mandate, and did crap. I hope he can be like Clinton and struggle the 1st 4 yrs, but accomplish somethings the last 4 after reelection looked unlikely.
President aside, this Country is just headed in a bad direction with the debt and economy. I am not a conspiracist but the stuff with the Federal Reserve Bank, expansion of Patriot Act, Drone, phone taps, and DHS possibly buying millions of rounds of Hollow point Ammo is all strange to me. Not sure where we are headed in terms of wars, economy, Mid East, China, Korea, etc. I just go to work, take care of my family, hope it all impacts me minimally.
