His mask now reminds me of Rellik for some reason. Ironically, Kane's current mask and the mask worn by Rellik were both created by the same artist. It must be his unique style that you are picking up on when you look at both masks. |

He looked better with the old mask, black paint, and unshaven iyam.
His current look makes him look too much like his old look. Meaning anytime I look at him now, all I see is the bald Kane face in my head. Before hand he actually looked different which was better I think.

The current mask isn't made of the same material or even by the same person as the first Resurrected mask. The current mask is a combination of latex and canvas. Strips of canvas are used to add stiffness to the masks and prevent them from stretching, which preserves the shape of the sculpt. The canvas also adds durability and improves the lifespan of each mask. The switch was made from leather to latex for better comfort and also because Kane's leather masks had a tendency to become brittle and split over time. Because each of the current latex masks comes out of a common mold and their paint applications are rather simplistic, they offer a high level of consistency in their appearances, which has both pros and cons, in my opinion. I, for one, always enjoyed the unique expressions of each of Kane's past leather masks. Although I love the current design, I do miss the variety that his leather masks offered. The old masks didn't age well at all, the one he wore during his team with Mankind looked gross when it was dark (possibly from being saturated with sweat) and couldn't have been comfortable at all. I quite like the mask he currently sports, offering good coverage while keeping his airways open at the same time. |

The first version had great details and tone but the mask just looked too big and didnt fit as nicely. It looked far too loose an oversized. The whole nose area didnt fit very well at all. I prefer kane with the black eye paint and the facial hair but with the latest mask.
You can often tell when he is wearing a newer version of his current mask too because the colour is much more vibrant.
