Heard the sad news about Paul Bearer Really sucks. He was A HUGE part of my childhood and the 90's for that matter. He was arguably the manger of the 90's. So it got me thinking, How would Taker have turned out without Bearer by his side?? He did 90% of the talking and he really made the undertaker character believable. Would Taker have gone over had he stayed with Brother Love?

No Paul, Taker likley would have been just another failed 6 month gimmick. Taker is amazing by himself, but in the early part of the character it was all Bearer that made Undertaker.

While I cannot say for sure if they would fail or not, I can certainly say he added greatly to both men.
He had a great role and played it tremendously.

i don't see reason in debating it, either way bearer contributed hugely to the character.

Im sure the character would have taken off regardless but theres no doubt he played a big part of Undertakers success.

I have to agree here. Paul made Taker that early on. That is no discredit to Taker and his natural talent but more so the circumstance of that character. Without Paul it wouldn't have worked.

He was very important in Taker's early run. He was the perfect compliment to him. Same goes for Kane. Bearer hyped Kane up before he even debuted, and did the talking for him too. He made things better and it is really hard to imagine their success without Bearer. Things would of played out very differently.

Undertaker needed Paul to become established, managers are so important.
