Jakks DA has it's merrits. Infact it was the DAs that got me back into collecting. The only things I found disappointing with DAs was how generic they looked (same parts, no character specific detials like The Rock's boots, etc) The heads weren't so large at first either, but as time passed the heads starting getting bigger and bigger. Some of the heads are so big that it make the bodies look too small and that a lot to accomplish given that DAs are nearly 8" tall. I also didn't like how they were gigantic compared to the RA's because not all Superstars got made in DA form so trying to display both RA with DA looked a little wacky.
I thought the Classic DAs were cool. I missed the boat with Classic Superstars so I thought this was going to be a great way for me to start a collection of Classic guys. What bothered me the most about this set was that it jumped the shark really fast. No Ulitimate Warrior, Buff Bagwell being in CS 22? and then being release as a CD in the same month... WTF? I thought this was going to be Jakks' way of relaunching the line in a different format. Instead we were getting guys they were making for their current CS line... lame.
Mattel's Elites were a breath of fresh air. Granted they do have their downside to them like availability, lack of accessories, lack of a Hogan, Sting, Flair etc. but I'll pick Mattel over Jakks any day of the week.
Speaking of Baloon heads on Jakks figures. Is it just me or did the heads get even bigger when they switched to TNA. I only say this because my friend was a die-hard CS collector, and he passed on Sting due to his overly large head, and that was on a CS/RA style body.

Sorry but Mattel vs. Jakks or Elite vs. Deluxe Aggression is like having an eating contest between a 5 Guys Chesseburger vs. a log of sh*t. THere's no contest who wins.

Let's put it this way, the reason I was late joining the Mattel bandwagon was because I saw the ab articulation on the Elites and thought immediately of those horrible DA figures i had seen toward the end of my Jakks collecting days (which ended because the DA took place of my beloved CS at my walmart). However when i got my first elite style figure (L3 Pillman) i knew these were better. And my purchase of E8 Sheamus confirmed that. Mattel>Jakks.

DAs are what killed off my Collecting days.
Mattel Elites are what brought me back in the game.

I DESPISE jakks DA. The figures are lanky, wonky, mis proportioned. Some of the heads were enormous and the arms were too short. I spose we really could go on all day huh.
Mattel elite >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>jakks DA.
And a side note why don't people ever use polls? You get he actual statistics without having to read through paragraphs of BS.

I think that as far as playing with them Jakks takes the win. Every time I hold an Elite figure I feel like I'm gonna break it if I move it the wrong way. Jakks was annoying tho how much bigger they were compared to the RA line.

DEFINITELY Mattel Elites. Jakks are way too loose and wobbly and everyone's arms are buff as hell
