If this is Jakks, then I expect Toad will be the same height and build as Bowser. Funny, but Bowser is in the 6" line and Toad is in the 4" line. That said, there isn't a real great scale across the entire brand. They're each kinda their own figure. Link is COMPLETELY different than the other three released so far in the 4" line. He's more like a GI Joe.

Still on the look out for Link. Every place I've been to just has Mario and Yoshi. I saw the DK and was tempted but eventually put it back.

A TRU by me is closing and was able to grab DK and Wario both for 40% off.

Got Wario today in the post, I'm having a problem getting the 6 inch Bowser and Donkey Kong. ): I've been to about 4 different Toys R Us since the line started and have only ever found DK. I've probably seen 20 of him over time, never Bowser.

I went to target a few days ago looking for these. Found Mario, Yoshi, and Wario. I didn't get Yoshi, and I'm not sure where I'll be able to find bowser or DK or Link :/

Most of those answers just reinforced my belief that Jakks are morons. For example: ---- Seriously? They've got the license for these iconic characters that go back decades and have consistently maintained great popularity, and yet Jakks apparently have barely even considered including plenty of collector-aimed figures based on the classic games - and even now there are still no definite plans to make many! To me this is a no-brainer. Whilst perhaps there may be some debate as to whether certain characters would sell, a classic Samus collector quality figure and a classic Link collector quality figure would definetely sell tons, absolutely no question about it. Those two, at least, should have been pencilled in from DAY ONE that they had the license. How can they be so casual and doubtful about the collector market with such a huge property? Perhaps I'm looking too much into this interview, but I just feel like my hopes of getting high-quality figures such as Zelda-LTTP Link, Super Metroid Samus, and SNES style F-Zero figures or cars keep getting crushed by the attitude Jakks displays. It's like whenever someone mentions classic collector quality figures, they say "oh yeh I guess we could do that, i dunno, maybe" then proceed to forget the idea completely and turn their thoughts to what they might have for lunch. That's how I would describe their attitude.

Can anyone tell me if the SH Figuarts Mario is really that much better than the Jakks one? The figures themselves look basically the same, articulation and sculpt-wise. I'm not worried about accessories, just wanted to know if the 9 dollar figure is as decent as the import.

I'd say the biggest improvement on the Figuarts version is the legs. The hip articulation on the Jakks version is basically non existent. If he's just chilling on a shelf, the Jakks version is perfectly fine.

I just got the SH Figuarts Mario, I saw the Jakks Mario at Target, and up close the two seem miles apart in terms of paint, articulation, attention to detail so I passed on the Jakks Mario, Luigi and Link but I did pick up the Jakks 6" DK and Bowser and the 4" Yoshi. Very happy I got the SH Mario instead, def worth a few more bucks, waiting on Luigi. Mario has a little tab on his back you can remove, I would guess to attach something like a yellow cape, one of those clear plastic stands, or maybe for attaching him to the SH Yoshi coming. SH Mario and Luigi's hands are removable too, and Luigi comes with the alternate hands.
From afar just on a shelf I guess the Jakks and SH Mario look pretty similar. Also DK seems perfect all over, but the paint on Jakks Yoshi and Bowser is iffy in places.

So I'm hoping that this continues and is successful. I know it's Jakks we're talking about here, but I have to say that I'm really liking their World Of Nintendo figures. I had initially planned to get a collection of Amiibos to represent a lot of the characters that we haven't had decent figures of but it looks as though Jakks is going to go pretty deep into the Nintendo library. I just picked up Toon Link and Ganondorf and I think they look great!

Saw Luigi, Toad, and Diddy Friday at Target.
No Samus or new deluxe figures yet, though.

Those plushes are some of the coolest collectibles I've seen. An absolute must!

Nice to see the classic designs being used with the plushes, but I'm still very disappointed at how few collector-aimed figures we're seeing. With such a popular license and so many classic characters going back decades, I just can't understand why Jakks isn't steaming ahead with loads and loads of high-quality collector figures based on the CLASSIC (NES/SNES/N64) designs...
I mean don't get me wrong, Bowser, Donkey Kong and the new Ganondorf and Metroid are great, but it's just all coming too slow and hesitantly for me. I want to see Zelda Link To The Past figures, F-Zero SNES cars, F-Zero SNES figures, Super Metroid Samus, Ocarina Of Time Link, Mario World Mario, etc. And all in 6-inch high-quality scale, not cheap 4-inch garbage.

Personally, I'd like to see Jakks put out figures of the 8-bit designs for Mario, Luigi, and Link instead of plush toys...but they most likely won't.

Anyone collect the mini ones? Someone got me Diddy as a gift and he feels naked without Dixie. I was looking on ebay for an older version but it looks like her tone might be different in which case I'd go nuts.

You're in luck as ToyGuru announced on the Pixel Dan toyfair video that they are doing some 8-bit "pixelated" versions of the 4-inch figures. No pictures yet though. Personally I'm not a fan of the "pixelated" idea though. I'd rather they be based on the original ARTWORK, which is surely what the designers intended. For example, IF they ever get their stuff together and make some classic 16-bit SNES look figures, I'd want a semi-realistic Link based on the ARTWORK for Link To The Past (as in the instruction manual, strategy guide, etc). Not a pixelated cartoony version like in the game sprites. But hey that's just me.

We never got the 6 inch Bowser and DK in the U.K, once again the Americans get favoritism.
