Heres a bit of bad news, guys, but news none the less. I just spoke to Akosa Akpom who is (or rather was) the Jakks TNA Rep and he told me that he was let go as well as hundreds of other Jakks employees. He told me that they are in a bind financially and it doesnt look good for the TNA, UFC, or any other line that Jakks has the license for. I hate to hear this news but we all expected it. R.I.P. Jakks. Loved with all our hearts since 1996.

I hope Jakks doesn't under. I may have stopped collecting after they lost the WWE but they are still a great toy company. They always release cool toys in all their lines, it would be sad to see a great company like them go away.

It would be very sad to see Jakks go under. I still get way more excited seeing their figures than I do seeing Mattels.

Very sad day for me. Ive followed Pro Wrestling since '83 but never bought any figures. Remco, LJN, Hasbro and so on. Until 1996 when Jakks changed my views on wrestling figures and what they should be. I will miss them.

If this is true, that is a real shame, as Jakks released some truly amazing figures and innovated some great things in the world of action figures and toys.

Very sad news. Jakks revolutionized the art of creating action figures that we are so addicted to.

there is no news on Jakks letting hundreds of people go. you'd think that would be kind of a big deal since they are a major toy company....Hasbro let go of 500 people and it was national headlines.
All I see is that Jakks is getting a new toy line based on " Monsuno Combat Chaos" Their 4th Quarter was low, but said nothing about them in real trouble. Plus Series 8 just started hitting retail and RSC has series 9 re-stocked. We've seen a new Rob Terry figure, etc. I'm just finding it hard to believe that Jakks & the TNA line is "done"

Locking this until there is some kind of official announcement from Jakks.
