I bought Antonio Cesaro at Kohls on Friday and I looked under his boots and it says 2011 Mattel Inc. 2011 WWE Inc. Does anyone has his figure with the year 2012 on it or does it not exist?

I've not taken much notice with the Mattel figures but Jakks would have the year the mold was made. So a lot of the feet had copyright 2003 on the boots. It's really nothing to read into or anything.

Yeah, I just checked a few of my recent figures including Primetime Players, most of elite 20... All had 2011 on the boots. I only checked maybe a dozen figures, but the only one of mine I could find with a 2012 boot was Curt Hawkins. I think Brock Lesnar might too, did he have a unique boot mold?

Yeah almost all of my TTLs say 1999 on them when I bought most of them in 01. Never quite sure as to why. I am seeing a lot more 2012 mattel figures lately though weird that Cesaros says 2011

I'm not sure why they do this. On my jakks Kane it said on his foot 2003. I use to think that's when the figure was made , still that is a ridiculous estimate from me.

A lot if figs are gonna say that even if they were released in 2012, or 2013 in this case. No worries man. You'll be hard pressed to find one that reads 2012.

I'm not sure why they do this. It's probably not cost-effective to create a new foot mold that's exactly the same apart from the year at the bottom. I don't think any of them say 2010 anymore though so they must have updated all of the feet in 2011.

That's when that specific mold was made.

The date stamp has to do with copyrights.

Its when the mold was made as many said. The reason why sometimes you'll see 2012 on there is because sometimes molds are tweaked updated, or the mold itself just is replaced with a new one that will work better and on the new models they will put the current year.
