To retire at the end of the season.
Not my favourite but he was good in his day. Shame injury ruined him.

Scraped every single last penny he could in his last few years, not giving two s about game time. Brilliant player, turned massive **** and eventually just a keyboard warrior. Despise him.

Refused to move down into the lower leagues even though he no doubt knew he isn't Premier League class anymore. More to the point he didn't want to leave the north-west because of his stables. He clearly has no heart in the game, good riddance.

Sent it to 8 PL clubs when it was looking like hed sign for Hull (I think) he chases the money again and signs for United of all clubs. Also love how he's got the audacity to slag off players every week on Twitter like the saint that he is

It's just like looking at his Wikipedia entry, only with more pictures.

So I take it next season he'll be watching football from the sidelines.... much like he is now, actually.

I remember reading about him sending it to clubs, but had never seen it. Gave me a right old laugh.

Lmao! You can tell he made it himself. My Graphics teacher would have killed me had I tried to hand that in. Almost makes me feel sorry for him...

It's quite sad that someone actually fell for it Love him forever for his goal vs. City. Remember that time...when he...errmm... Nah, can't think of anything else of note he's done in the last 6 years.

He had some good seasons at Liverpool. I always thought he was over rated and to be quite honest has milked some clubs dry the last few seasons. I couldnt believe when he went to stoke, hes like the complete opposite of a typical tony pulis player. I guess his injuries hampered him but i never thought much of him. I think hes more into his horses now.

Don't think he's that much of a good player tbh, Do agree though injuries didn't do him any good.

He was good in his prime, but its a travesty he has the same amount as CR7.

He lead Cardiff on a fair bit. He can off. The past few years he's been an absolute tool. Was a good player in his day, never deserved the Ballon D'or but still, a good player. Shame he ruined it for himself.

Great player in the first half of his career, but made some bad decisions later on regarding choice of clubs to go to. He's a bit ridiculous at times on Twitter and was one of MOTD's worst pundits.

Don't agree with the hate to be honest. Was one of my idol's growing up as a young boy, used to come home from School and watch his Soccer Skills VHS almost every day. If he didn't have his Career set back by Injuries he would of been one of the true World Greats, and probably England's best ever Player. The things he'd already achieved at such a young age were frightening.
Even today I still think he's one of the best natural finishers in English football, he just so happened to spend the last 3 years at England's biggest Club so he was always going to be a bench Player for those years. I would like to of seen him drop down a League and play at Brighton or somewhere, but I guess when you've played World Cups and for the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester United and Liverpool and only to have injuries set you back, you don't feel like you should be playing lower levels because it's not like you aren't good enough for the Prem, it's that your body wont respond to what you want to do, so he's called it quits early doors.

He should never have left Liverpool to be honest. After that his career went continuously downhill.

Becoming a football agent in the summer. Any more jobs he wants from the game without hardly lifting a finger?
