Well I had to get the okay from the lady because my figures take up the living room. And it's always nice if people approve and when you're standing there looking they walk up and ask about certain figures. I don't think people who complain have any right to though as long as they don't pay for it, but it's better to hear good things instead of constant complaining about having a new figure arrive.

don't think my gf has a problem with it. hope she doesn't because I already gave up collecting durant, kobe and lebrons shoes after last year. I hear you there man...being a sneakerhead can get a bit pricey... I'm right there as well. I'm not too bad though. I have 4 pairs of J's and one pair of kobe's

Why would you care what someone else thinks about your hobby? I get lighthearted noodling about it from the other three guys in my band... my girlfriend is supportive of it. My roommates will lightheartedly heckle me about it... but really, who's business is it what I do with my money?
Besides, if I ever got seriously heckled for collecting wrestling figures? I'm 30 years old in two weeks.. and I've done things in that time that people twice my age are still working hard to do. I've performed with some of my idols and icons, I've sung songs that I wrote in front of crowds of thousands of people (and even had them singing my own lyrics back to me). I've had songs on the radio, an offer for a record deal with a well known record label, and I pay my bills with my passion, playing out 2-5 nights a week to keep a roof over my head and food in the cabinet for my girlfriend and her daughter. And someone's gonna heckle me because I buy wrestling figures?! Pfft. I'd laugh, audibly. And then we'd talk, and I'd break them down into a million pieces.
Life is too short to talk about what you want to do.. you just need to do it. And if one of the things that brings a smile to your face and warms your heart is collecting wrestling figures, who cares if someone else thinks that's "weird".... do what moves you! I think it's "weird" that people host parties full of folks they know just for the status and not for the fun.. but I don't judge them for it. Whatever floats your boat!

To me idk what people think, it's a hobby something I needed greatly to keep me busy.
I've never done drinks, not a heavy drinker, so I decided to go back to something I enjoy and is legal and doesn't hurt anyone

I think my parents support it, sometimes my mum will go out for me and pick up the latest elite series for me or any diva, My parents are used to WWE as my older brother used to collect figures but he stopped now. My family all know I prefer divas over superstars so I do get teased a little by them but in a joking way since I have been a diva fan all my life, even when me and my brother were younger, when we played WWE videogames We would have a lot of intergender matches. I always lost but it was still fun!

My dad hate me collecting. My mams not so keen n my sister doesn't care. I dont think anyone else knows. None of my friends know in fear of this reason. I'd rather just keep it private for me to enjoy. But it would be nice to have someone else that enjoyed it.

My dad supports it because he was a collector till he was in his mid 40s then I took it all over. Opinions change. Lemme give you a run down of people that had a change of heart.
My mom Before: He's 14 years old, I think he should sell those things already. (2006) My mom now: Eric, I just saw a sale in TRU for buy one get one half off.
My Friends before: Dude, this is so lame. You got a nerd pad going on here. (2010) My Friends now: This is freaking awesome to look at! You have a great set up.
My Fiance before: Can't believe my boyfriend collects barbie dolls in spandex. (2011) My Fiance now: A. Walmart has the new series you are looking for, want me to pick something up for you? B. Let me help you customize that figure baby.
There's a few quotes. Point is, never take to heart what anyone says because after a while those thoughts will change.

My question is would you rather spend money on consumables or something that will last a lot longer, I do the latter hence why I collect certain things I like as opposed to spending the same amount on say alcohol and such. If you are happy buying / collecting figures forget about everyone else.
