June 15th, 2003. WWE Bad Blood was held in Houston Texas as a Raw exclusive PPV. Triple H def. Kevin Nash in a HIAC match w/ Mick Foley serving as the referee. Elsewhere on the card Ric Flair def. Shawn Michaels, Goldberg def. Chris Jericho and Stone Cold def. Eric Bischoff 2 victories to 1 in a 'Redneck Triathlon'.
Also on the show. La Resistance defeated RVD and Kane to win the World Tag Team titles. Yesterday, June 24th.
The 2001 King of the Ring was held. Kurt Angle competed in 3 matches that night, once against Christian, followed by Edge and then the famously violent street fight with Shane O'Mac. The main event saw Austin beat Jericho & Benoit in a triple threat match for the WWF title. That match also featured the WWF debut of Booker T.
June 25th.
Nothing. Nothing at all happened on this date.
I kid...
Of course this was the day in which the bodies of the Benoit family were discovered and Raw that night was a 3 hour tribute to the career of Chris Benoit.
Today in 2000. Kurt Angle won the King Of The Ring tournament.
Layla turns 37 years old today.
Completely unrelated, 10 years ago today I left primary school!
