27 years ago today, the last show at the Boston Garden.  It always look weird to me for wrestling, but I loved watching basketball games there. |

27 years ago today, the last show at the Boston Garden. It always look weird to me for wrestling, but I loved watching basketball games there. I saw a few house shows there, but mostly hockey. The place was dirty and rundown, but it had a ton of character and I loved it. Going to things now at the TD Garden it’s such a sanitized environment. It could be Boston or Boise, Idaho, just nothing to set it apart. |

The Boston Garden in the 80s was THE PLACE for basketball. The dark hardwood floor with the lime green looked so awesome. |

It's crazy looking back this segment here kickstarted the legendary feud with Jake. A feud that will stand the test of time A great feud that hooked me on wrestling. Prior to that, I watched off and on the previous few years. But after the feud, I didn't miss a show, PPV, or magazine from then until around 2002/03. EDIT: Well, I stopped collecting the magazines around 95/96. I go back and forth between this feud and the Austin/Bret as my most favorite feud, both are really great. |
