What is the one detail you wish Mattel did differently from the beginning? For the most part I love Mattel's figures, but I've always wished they sculpted the wrist/hand tape onto the figures instead of just painting them on the arm/hands. And since I picked up the DC Unlimited Hawkman back in Jan I really want sculpted tape as it looks great on him. I just think that small detail would have put them over the top.

Got beards and hair colours right. And stuck with scale/body types so we don't end up with Cody Rhodes bigger than The Rock.

leg sleeves.
i dont think any wrestler has ever worn those large kneepads in the style/design mattel has used since the beginning. They are just plain awful.

Kinda wish they did a different shoulder articulation, at least on elites. Perhaps something similar to what jakks did with some of the UFC figures, though I never did like how it made the figures look. Other than that... Hmm.... That molded wrist tape does sound nice but would make fix ups more difficult.

The elite ankle joints. I hate them. They just look weird and even with the fix now they just too tight to move. I wish they all just had the joints like basics.

I always have wanted more set pieces, like backstage set ups like jakks pumped out.

Double elbow joint or like you said sculpted wrist tape.

I agree with this. Elites at Target have gone up over $20 in my area... Then again, maybe I should just be fortunate my Target still carries elites.

I have a couple of things I wish they had done differently. First is prices for Elites. Over $20.00 for a toy is absurd in today's economy. The second would be the packaging for Elites. It would make it more difficult for swaps and accessory stealing. A simple pic of the actual figure on the box would make it harder for these thieves to swap them out as well.

Mattel's tooling is beatiful, I really believe they could add the shoulder joint ala Jakks UFC or Marvel Toys TNA and it look great still. I also think double joints for the elbows would be cool, but the pricepoint would likely go up again.
So I guess my thing would be t-shirt figures from the get go. Tommy Dreamer doesn't count because that was ring gear for him, but now that basic 29 has been revealed with Stone Cold in a t-shirt, I guess that the 'only basic figures of ring gear' has finally been thrown out the window. I don't think every figure needs a shirted version, but when you have 5-6 figures in several series close together like they've done with Ziggler and Bryan, the shirts are a refreshing change of pace.

I wish they had a little more mass. Every single figure looks too muscular to me a not wide or thick enough.
