I can't wait to hear how offended people get over this title.
Really, though, it's Kanye West. We shouldn't expect anything less at this point.
I'm a fan, to an extent. He's a jerk, but, as mentioned previously, an incredibly talented one. He could be far worse things, like Chris Brown.
With that being said, I didn't enjoy the last record at all, but I thought 808s was brilliant. That record, to me, makes everything he puts out at least worth checking out.

I think I've encountered the one person who doesn't like My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, lol. I, on the contrary, really didn't like 808s.

Why do people make such a big deal about the Taylor Swift thing? I don't usually like Rap but Kanye is without a doubt one of the few actually talented rappers.

Well, to be fair, I'm not really a hip hop guy to begin with, so that likely has a lot to do with it. A hip hop record really has to strike a chord with me in order for me to really get into it, and it really doesn't happen very often.

'Fantasy' was him going back to a more hip hip style after many of his fans weren't happy about 808s. To me, a big fan of hip hop, College Drop Out and Late Registration was some of his best work. So naturally, 808s kinda put me off. In a way, I actually appreciate all of Kanye's work because I feel like he chooses to work with certain tools and styles because he likes them and not because it's what's popular. People tend to forget that he's a producer turned rapper.

Yeah, though hip hop is not my genre of choice, there are several artists that I have a lot of respect for, even if I don't necessarily enjoy all of their music. Kanye is most certainly near the top of that list. Though I don't personally enjoy My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, I absolutely see the appeal behind it and appreciate the work that went into it.

Turns out the album won't be called "I Am God", but a new song on it might.
Anyway, I'm using this as an excuse to dump my favorite Kanye moment.
Closing the Coachella festival with "Hey Mama" after his mom had passed away.

Blah, I listen to Backspin or Pandora so I don't have to hear crap like his on the radio. His early albums were good but hes getting worse and worse as he goes.
